This guy posted his MAC predictions on the main board so I beefed with him on Twitter, escalating into an interview.
Nice!
Seeing the predictions, it was clear he did not know much about the teams. Eastern and Ball State are due to bounce back this year. I think he may have something about a team with multiple losses winning the west since I can see that happening. Could very well be an Ohio U year.

I did not buy Steele's book this year since I didn't open it enough last year. What did he say

OU lost a lot on Defense. Steele picks OU and Peters to be the Toledo starter.
Hey Dan,

EMU fan here, this was some good stuff so I hope you do not mind my two cents. I agree a lot with your MAC analysis supported with thorough research.

My take is that Toledo has a lot of talent and will undoubtedly be in the running for the MAC West. However, after Toledo, I would lump the rest of the MAC West with big question marks. I am really not that impressed with Tim Lester at WMU. He had NFL safeties and an OLman but struggled to 6-6. When EMU played NIU, we took a 17 point lead into the 4th qtr and lost a close game. We lost to Ohio last year in OT. We lost to Toledo by 5 points. EMU has a big question mark at QB and WR. I expect EMU defense to be very stout. WMU has question mark on DL, safeties and Tim Lester. NIU has question mark on QB and offense. I believe if EMU, WMU, and NIU answer the question marks, one or two of the three will challenge Toledo for the West title. I'll be rooting for the MAC against our OOC schedule. Hopefully it's injury free. I'll be at the Toledo game to cheer on the rockets to beat Miami. That would be a great win!!!

Cheers!
