Today, let's talk UTSA. It is no secret that I'm not a UTSA fan, but I will try to leave my biases out of this. UTSA enters the 2018 season with some important question marks. How will Wilson's new coaching hires pan out? How much will the Runners' defense miss Davenport? Will the UTSA offense be any better in 2018? I think Strong and Tauaefa are going to keep the defense solid, which should keep the Runners in most games. But, the offense only appears to be returning 3 starters...

Which games do you feel they will win, and which should they lose? What is the logic for your predictions?

Here is the schedule with my predictions. C-USA fans, I look forward to reading your thoughts.

L- @ Arizona St. (AZ St went bowling last season)
L- Baylor (Revenge game could get ugly)
L- @ Kansas St. (K-State should be a bowl team in 2018)
W- Texas State (The Bobcats are terrible)
W- UTEP (The Miners aren't ready for this fight yet)
W- @ Rice (the ground game won't work against this UTSA defense)
W- LA Tech (UTSA defense should give Smith fits... in the dome Smith could give UTSA turnovers)
L- @ USM (Have yet to see a QB step up at USM, but home field is an edge, especially if the USM defense is good)
L- @ UAB (The Blazers are going to be a tough road game for everyone that has to go there)
W- FIU (FIU is on the rise under Davis, but UTSA is still good and @ home)
L- @ Marshall (Hard to win in Huntington, even harder when Marshall is good)
L- North Texas (The hate should keep it close, but NT is better 2018)
I still like UTSA's defense but they will miss Davenport quite a bit. I think their offense could be a real trouble spot with so many starters gone including the quarterback and top receivers. Change the La Tech game to an "L" and I think you've got it. I see no way they beat La Tech.
Joe, I see them pretty much the way you do -- even with the same record at 5-7 -- but with a twist on a couple of games.

You and I agree on every game except LA Tech. I don't see us beating them. But I already did this thread 3 days ago...

I apologize. I wasn't thinking. I had been doing this series for about a week, and just posted it. If a mod wants to merge this one with yours, that would be fine with me. By the way, I love the Dangerfield gif. 04-cheers

No worries. If it truly bothered me, I wouldn't have included the light-hearted Dangerfield gif. It just threw me for a loop there for a moment. lol
