I agree. And my impression of CC is similar to POC: CC is intense, perfectionist, etc. but not one to drop the F bomb, etc. High character. Makes players keep their noses clean.
That's a nice write-up. Hopefully that reporter sticks around and gives us more stuff like that.
Love Chris C.and the values he brings to the program walks the walk

Thanks much for the share Luckey, I missed it. Art Brooks has been has been an asset to the program for sure.

I must say that Creighton is the face of EMU athletics and he has acquitted himself well. I find it revolting that the faculty haters question his salary.

It's a jealousy thing.
Many faculty question if spending D1 atheletic money is a good choice. But I don't recall Creighton being attacked specifically. Football spending, atheletic spending, yes, but not him personally.

But I do recall him being attacked by Art Brooks:

Posters on here have attacked him or his coaching or his recruiting. Its part of being a head coach and he can handle it.
EMU Football is on the rise!!

The EMU Facebook group, mainly comprised of faculty have become unglued about Creighton's salary which by the way is one of the lowest in NCAA D-1. As E-Tough stated, the motive is indeed jealousy. They do not mention that unlike regular faculty, he has a defined length of contract without the benefit of tenure. I think the envy is rooted in the fact that besides making more money, he also if very successful can move on to a better opportunity like PJ Fleck, Urban Meyer and other MAC coaches have. The downside of course is that Rasnick, Genyk, Woodruff, etc... were on the street looking for a job when they did not succeed. Tenure is indeed a beautiful thing to some.

Thanks for posting the editorial from Art Brooks two years ago. I was unaware that he felt that way then. As of late he has been writing nothing but positive pieces about EMU football. Nice to know what once was going on his head.

Wonder how the faculty at UM feels about their $8M man.

Let me know the next time a prof does a lecture on ESPN then follows it up with interviews.

Are you talking about EMU Talk? Dude, that is three cranky professors and a 6 whiners. EMU has several hundreds of faculty members who have never once given an interview or complained online about Creighton.

Yep, social media has given a greater voice for the minority opinion to be loud and obnoxious that enable unneeded controversy and division of this great ol country of ours.

You are correct masttg! There are very few faculty members that complain but the triumvirate of Bunsis, Krause and Kuhlberg seem to seek out any media camera or microphone they can find. Thus they make enough noise to be a true obstacle to any success of the EMU football program.

Nice article and nice update.
I really appreciate what Art Brooks is doing.
And Roback put on a pretty good show last night. I saw four passes, two complete. All were well thrown (on one the defender made a very nice play to separate the receiver and ball).
