This will be seriously ugly. Ugly for them if we play anywhere near last year’s level, ugly for us if the final is inside of three scores.

We should pass on 1st and 2nd downs to make sure the new QB's get plenty of reps in.

A lot of playing time for backups, and for the QB’s to get into a groove and for one to emerge as a front runner on the season...
I hope the score does not get too out of hand, because J. Candle has more class than to RUTS like U. Meyer would...

They started off with a 62-0 shut-out by Air Force last year. The only scored 9 touchdowns on the season. I don't see this not being ugly. With all the offensive depth we have, I don't see them stopping the 3rd team offense. some games, it can't be helped. I don't think we will run it up on purpose. I see a lot of big gains plays by our play makers.

Why do we play these games? Worthless!
At a minimum we should only schedule D1 Bowl Championship Teams.
Conference USA? More Sunbelt?
Geesh, its hardly worth the ticket price.

teams treat these as "preseason" games,every major college football team takes this approach, if not in first game, certainly in second game of the season

keeping in mind we are playing a top 10 team the next game (and at home)

We have a brand new QB and from what it sounds, a lot of questions on the O-Line. We are unproven and just came off a 34-0 loss...I'm fine with playing VMI. Hopefully, they provide the team with a good challenge and get them ready for the Canes.

You Florida guys know your stuff. UT will go as far as the OLine takes us. It matters not if you have the best receivers, running backs, and qbs if the OLine doesn’t get the job done. VMI is good a first game for us.

WE’RE not even a D1 Bowl championship team. I’d like a stronger small school program but this gives us the opportunity to pay them back for their part in defeating Ohio regiments at New Market.

We ARE a D1 bowl series team, not a D1 championship team that plays in the NCAA playoffs

They'll score on us. We shut out no one, even if they insist.

Every team has SOMEONE that can break one. VMI would be no different.

It just goes to show, if you wake up in the morning and your brandy flask has been
stolen it's not going to be a good day.

If you get a season ticket, the VMI game comes free. If you get a fan plan, you even get some free snacks and parking with your free ticket for the VMI game.
