Just my opinion, but I think FGCU and North Florida should seriously consider adding football. I dont think Jacksonville or Stetson will ever add scholarship football, and with Liberty being FBS, and all indications that KSU will eventually look to FBS, FGCU, UNF and UNA could stay with Liberty and position themselves to try to move to FBS indy.
If that is possible, that would be 5 ASun FBS indy schools that could do 1 of a couple of things,
1- ASun schools have a scheduling agreement with each other so they always play. (As long as they are in the ASun.)
2- eventually team up with New Mexico State and join the WAC for football only. It could turn out having a few others join on the west coast and the WAC could have a East West division football conference.
Of course FGCU and UNF dont have to have football for any of the above to happen, but it would be nice.

A lot of wishing in that statement. I think KSU has a long way to go to become an fbs team. It will take at least 15-20 years. They aren’t sought after since GAST and GS moved to the SBC.

All I know is everybody talks about them being FCS short timers. Mainly because of their market.

And the number 2 part was if there is enough Indy schools in the future, they and possibly others could get the WAC back going in FBS, it would be a stretched out conference, but if somehow 12 could be in the WAC, an East and a West division play would be kinda cool.(08-05-2018 11:06 AM)lion1983 Wrote: [ -> ](08-05-2018 10:18 AM)Ewglenn Wrote: [ -> ]A lot of wishing in that statement. That's just hypothetical though, but KSU could potentially be FBS indy. (Assuming the NCAA would let them)
