We are P6. Fighting for a TV contract that means something more than CUSA. Needing to beat Boise for January 1. Enjoying what Penny is doing to Calofarti. UCF IS THE NATIONAL CHAMPION.

I Love this conference. GO TIGERS....
Boise is a real concern for the NY6 game, they play Oklahoma st third week, if they beat them then one of our schools will have to go undefeated to have a chance to make the January 1 bowl

But Boise will lose to Wyoming and Fresno and not make the MW championship.
Boise brings back most of their players
I like it better than CUSA... but not the old Big East.

Sorry.
Boise will be eliminated in Week 2.

You're welcome.

The old Metro was better than both.

Florida State
Virginia Tech
South Carolina
Memphis
Cincinnati
Georgia Tech
Louisville
Southern Miss
Tulane

Whew...those were some battles. Loserville should have their tails kicked till the end of time for blocking football and killing that league. Idiots
The AAC is better than the BE ever was

to be clear, Bobby Bowden didn't want to share FSU's football money with the conference either, but he said he would IF Louisville would share their basketball money. Louisville said no, FSU fine, we'll go to the ACC (a really bad football conference at the time and not THAT far ahead of the Metro in hoops) the beginning of the wandering in the desert for most of us

Boise St plays @ Okie Dokie St,
NOT against them “Bloomers”

Interesting match up 4 both teams
3rd game of the reg season 4 both teams

Boise St returns a Senior QB starter, Top 2 WR’s & RB’s
& most of their Offensive lineman
Boise St returns 9 out of 11 “D” starters
OKie Dokie St returns most of their “D” & “O” lines,
& has great depth @ running back
has 2 bring in new QB, D backs, & Young WR’s
Most “D’ linebackers return but
2ndry is mostly all new

IF them Bronco’s get by them Cowboys
Most of the pre season fav’s MWC contenders play @ Boise St
including an early Nov match up w/ BYU @ home

Them Bronco’s do open their season though @ a pesky Troy
(Last yr Sun Belt champs & beat LSU)
But Troy lost 4 yr QB starter & their Top 2 RB’s
return 4 starters on the Offensive line & their 2 top WR’s
But No returning starters on “D” line
though most of their 2ndary & Linebackers all return

Cincy was in the Big East for about three weeks before it imploded.

We're a much better conference in football than the old Big East 100% IMO its been proven already.

As far as basketball goes we have all the potential in the world to be just as good.
Cincinnati, Memphis, UConn, Houston, Wichita State, & Temple is a SOLID group.
With the edition of UCF and SMU recently becoming big.. man..

This is a great conference.

I've been around as much as I can. It's been busy in my sector of the automotive industry.

Great info, Jeb. I never knew that about Bowden/FSU but it certainly makes sense. It's pretty sobering to imagine where all of us would be now if that league had stuck together and retained its membership.
