I know there is practice this Saturday Aug 4th at 2:30-4pm

Where’s Randy when we need him?

First practice is this Thursday (closed)
First practice open to the public this Saturday

I thought they started already but it’s definitely this week.

They have been doing conditioning for more than a month. But I was told this weekend (by someone who is in the know) they begin on Thursday unless that has recently changed.

I can not get a straight answer. No one seems to know for sure. It is very unclear if he is suspended. Definitely not for certain. I believe what ever may have happened is being handled from with in and if I was a betting man I would say Tears sees the field Sept 1st but that is just my opinion.

If I lived any closer I would definitely attend a few of the open practices. I used to go to the open scrimmages they would host. There's nothing like seeing the boys of fall on the gridiron getting ready for the season...the loud collision of pads, the coaches blowing their whistles, music running in the background.... ahhh the sounds of football season!

I just got on the blower and found out that they WILL BE PRACTICING before August 31st. You can book it.

My "sources" have told me the offense isn't even reporting to camp this year since Carey's sticking with same "3 and out" offensive plays from last year.

I heard that we aren't going to have any TEs this year since we never throw to them anyway.

I might go out to watch practice tomorrow or Thursday. Do we know for sure that those are open to the public?

I wonder if NIU should do something more formally for Coach Novak. Not sure he has been fully appreciated for everything he did to build NIU football to where it is today.
