Let's just say I'm glad that Dr. Rudd and Mr. Laurie swing big sticks. I do understand why Boowen is universally worshiped by the Big 12 board folks. It makes perfect sense.

Again: Bowen has been the overseer of the largest decline in BB revenue in the history of the school. And increased FB revenue is only a fraction of those losses. The true revenue numbers of donations per seat and season ticket sales are NOT disclosed in financials. The University took some mega booster donations and used it to prop up revenues. You would have to be accounting savvy to see how it is done. Very misleading.

You might think you are say all, end all here but far from it. Bowen is a football guy and endorsed Tubby’s hiring and also made penny ante cuts in basketball budget like flying commercial a lot, even where they stayed, etc that hurt the program’s image. Penny has budget situation clarified now.

How would you know that?

Tubby was hired, I believe, because the decision makers were told we had a very good chance of B12 expansion inclusion (I think the B12 basically lied to them). It is the only good reason I can see for hiring Tubby. He fits well for a caretaking role.
