Lipscomb drops a winnable game at Louisville 72-68. A couple Cooper TO's late hurt. NJIT got a good win over Fordham last night. Lipscomb, NJIT, and Liberty look like the class of the ASC with 2/3rd's of non-con schedule gone.
I was also gonna mention Lipscomb givin UofL a run for their money on the road. That was an entertaining game. UofL runs the pack line defense like Liberty.

Pretty Good! It’s a start at least.
JU has an opportunity (grant it, very small) to make some noise versus Notre Dame and Indiana in the next week. They are starting to round into the team I thought they would be.
The ASC is as good as the days when Belmont, ETSU, and Mercer were in the league, however.
FGCU struggled but managed to beat Keiser tonight 87-85. They trailed most of the game. Keiser is a very average NAIA program. The loss (for the year)of leading scorer Hannif Cheatham is obviously significant to FGCU.

I’m extremely disappointed in how they are playing this year. Idk if it’s the coaching or what.

FGCU lost a boatload from the 2017-18 team to include a very good coach in Dooley. The departure of Goodwin, Johnson, and Terrell was huge in terms of production (56% of scoring) but also leadership. They also lost 6-9 productive Post players in Simmons & Gilmore.
The Dooley departure was surprising. He left for East Carolina (where he previously coached and was fired), which at "best" was a lateral move. Fly has been around the FGCU program a long time, and is an accomplished recruiter. He has been dealt a tough hand, particularly with the loss of Cheatham. We will see how good of a coach he is if he can keep Dunk City from completely cratering.
