Lol!!! Funny stuff.
If would have meant more if he could count under his own system. Marshall was in "great shape" in 6 categories (all three defensive position groups and all three offensive position groups) so that's 18 points, and a "we'll see at QB" which is one point, then he says our total is 17.

We were ranked 7, 1 and 3 on defense, front to back and 2, 2, and 3 on offense (line, receivers, backs) and then he says we are essentially the 7th best team. Ok.

Unless I'm missing something, the Final Tally story is from last season.

You caught that also....
These reports are fun to look at, and in many cases offer some insight into the relative strength of the different positions. But, I think they are written way too early. Since these were published, North Texas has had the NCAA grant our best O-lineman an additional year, and added juco D-linemen. Those moves are not reflected in these rankings. I have to wonder what moves at other programs are not recorded in these position rankings.

If your program has made some moves to address weaknesses and it is not reflected in these summaries, I'd like to read about it.

Things do change, of course, and it is hard to capture the exact situation the very moment the season starts. Kinda reminds me of 2016 season, when FAU's top OL (Reggie Bain) suffered a silly self-inflicted season-ending injury just days before the season started.

Silly to say getting hit by a car is self inflicted. But now that I remember he was playing frogger crossing the street and he lost.

2018 Conference USA Preseason Position Reviews: The final tally

Uh oh. Here come the UNT fans griping about why this is wrong because they're not #1 and that they lead the league in three star recruits who have offers from Lamar, Prairie View A & M, and The University of Larry the Cable Guy.

One of the best UL's. Favored to play in the Excess Bowl.
