Looks like NMSU is getting some love! Not really I think that they forgot that NMSU is an independent this year.
Updated for 60 and 61 (they skipped 62 for some reason)

Maybe #62 is an FCS team.
looked on their twitter feed- Navy was #62.
Updated up to #57. I think they were a bit behind- but now 8 weeks from today would be the Friday right before the 1st major weekend of the season.
Updated now to #55. Arkansas St shows up as the first champion on the list at #55.
looks like they've caught up- now at 54 after Sunday. Timed to reveal #1 from looks of it the Friday before Labor Day weekend. (we'll know #1 actually the day before when #2 is released).
Updated at #52 with Fresno St...

Got left now 9 G5 programs, Notre Dame, and 41 P5 programs.
Cal shows up at #51. So top 50 starts showing up tomorrow.
Northern Illinois revealed as MAC champion at #49. G5 down to 4 AAC, 2 MWC, and 1 CUSA team left.
Pittsburgh shows up at #47.
Houston shows up at #44.
Believe it or not, college football is just 38 days away!

yep. This countdown is timed to end the Friday before the Labor Day weekend(though we'll know who is #1 the day before).
Can't be soon enough.
UCLA shows up at #42. That team is going to be one of the most interesting teams IMO this year with Chip Kelly being back....
Memphis checks in at #41.

I think it's pretty clear that while we love college football for its inherent awesomeness of course, another reason is we get so little of it. Even if your team has a great season and you play your bowl game on New Year's Day or beyond, it's still EIGHT long months after that until your next game. And for teams that don't make bowl games, it's more than nine months.

There's no other major sport with anywhere near that short of a season.
