He has a nice 8-game hit streak going and has now homered in 3 of his past 4 games after another solo shot tonight. His Nationals squad continues to just play average ball however as most of that team's other stars (Harper, Murphy, Zimmerman who is still hurt) are having poor seasons.

Brock Holt didn't play today I don't believe but he's having a nice season too for the Red Sox.

Rendon probably hasn't quite got to the MLB career of say Jose Cruz Jr. to rank 2nd all-time among Rice hitters in the majors (and he has a long way to go to be considered in the Lance Berkman category of #1 all-time), but Rendon probably will be approaching Cruz's numbers within 2 more years?
Anthony had a great at bat last night. On the 11th pitch of his at bat he hit a rocket liner into the deep left center bleachers.

How do Rendon's numbers compare to Berkman and Cruz?
At approximately the same of games as Rendon Cruz showed more power, but Rendon better all around. Most of Cruz' numbers were later in his career. Berkman was a full time starter in his 2nd season and he was regularly getting 100 RBIs and 100 walks per season, plus 40 some doubles. Rendon is also one of the best fielding 3rd basemen in the game, but it's doubtful he can match Lance's offensive numbers.
Two homer game las night.
Leads NL 3rd basemen with best fielding percentage.
