Hopefully, our veteran offensive line and a passing threat will continue to unleash him. He is a threat for a TD run on every carry.
Can’t wait to see this man fly!

Hate to be negative but I saw nothing in our #1 depth chart QB to indicate he was even close to Ferguson or Lynch in passing the football at the same stage of his career. He is a very good running QB though.

Honestly that is what Norvells system is designed for, a QB who can run.

Our QB has to at least keep an defense honest with his passing (like Ward at Houston). Norvell has proven skilled at accentuating strengths and masking weaknesses and I expect it to continue next season.

Agreed...We cant have a QB who cannot throw at all...But if his legs are a threat guys will be more open so he won't need to throw dimes.

As you said the coach should be able to play to the players strengths.
When Henderson is fully healthy he is truly dangerous. I love watching him play.

First, there isn't a #1 depth chart QB, but if you were at the Spring Game Moore went 10-13 with only one bad pass and while White went 8-14, he average 13 yards per completion and had a couple of drops. Neither looked bad and both will be capable of leading the offense. But, I would bet White will be the QB and the offense will be just fine.

You also must not remember Ferguson in his first Spring Game either. He didn't exactly light it up and wasn't named the starter until the last week of Fall Camp.

Then don’t be negative.

Ferguson was different from Lynch and our new QB who wins out for 2018 will be different from either of them. Or we may regularly see two QBs if that is best for offensive production. Let’s get through summer workouts, fall camp and a few games before passing judgement.
I have said that to me, Henderson is the next DeAngelo. This article highlights some of his talent. I expect us to emphasize the run game this fall, and he will get a chance to really show his stuff.

As far as the QB conversation, why not start a separate thread? This one veered away from Henderson really much too soon.
I could see this being Henderson's and Pollard's last year. Both are really dynamic and NFL will come calling. I am not saying either one is 1st rounder but I do believe they both could be drafted.

Kind of changing the focus of your pronouns there aren't you? The "he" and "him" refers to Henderson not the QB in the previous sentence.

Will not go that far. Maybe the next Curtis Steele. Do not think Henderson could carry the team on his shoulders at the same production level, without some threat of a passing game as DeAngelo did his Sr year.

Every running back on that team had very good stats. Henderson MIGHT not be as good as DeAngelo, but he is faster and more of a homerun threat, and we have more weapons this year.

You compare Henderson to Curtis Steele? Seriously?

“Henderson MIGHT not be as good as DeAngelo, but he is faster and more of a homerun threat, and we have more weapons this year.”

Probably the most ludicrous statement I’ve read on this forum this year.

From my post “good running QB“. Does the he pronoun you questioned sound like Henderson? Last time I looked HENDERSON did not play QB.
Actually, your saying that statement is ludicrous is what's really funny.

Henderson is faster and in two seasons already averages more long runs than DeAngelo. Not to mention, to get back to the original topic, he leads the nation in yards after contact. They forget to mention, he lead NCAA RBs in average yards per carry as well. All while not even getting the majority of carries on the team.

In his best season, DeAngelo averaged a yard better... than Henderson did after first contact. Had his averages held up, give Henderson DeAngelo's carries in his second season (he had at least 70 more carries his 3rd and 4th than that year) and Henderson would've had more yards than any season DeAngelo had and would've broken the 2000 yard mark.

Yeah, that statement sure sounds ludicrous to me.
Henderson is faster than DW top end but there are a lot of characteristics that go into making a player. To me DW was more of a home run threat but I really like watching Henderson play and also think he is a home run threat. The year he was coming out of HS he was the player I was most interested in seeing play for the tigers. Glad DH is on our team.

From the original statement to which you were responding the pronoun was focused on Henderson. UNLESS you change the focus by identifying another person specifically then the pronoun remains on that original focus.
