From Mike McCann twitter: @WMU_Football RB Matt Falcon (knee) and DL Dez Lance (head) have been medically DQ’d.
There goes another Four-Star from a previous recruiting class, unfortunately.

Falcon was another bust on a flier... he never overcame the injury bug. Worth the shot and im sure he gave it his all... but he just couldn't stay healthy.
DL gets even thinner with the loss of Lance.

I never expected much out of Falcon unfortunately. 3 knee injuries in 3 years...his body never gave him a chance.
Was nice to see Falcon get a chance to take the field the last 2017 home game. I don't recall seeing him other games.
Fleck’s fault.
That's tough, he certainly gave it one more go and can say he played college football. Lance is a loss. We have plenty of talent at HB, not so much at defensive line, at least that we've seen yet.

I'm sure he would have happily donated his ACL were he still the skipper.
Too bad. Just hope these aren't life long, especially the head injuries.. scary.
Bummer to see, but not entirely surprising.

Definitely. Sometimes a skittish P5 pulls an offer from a highly-rated player who gets injured, a MAC team takes a chance, and they recover and become a star. Sometimes they can't shake it off and they never get going. Unfortunately for Falcon he landed in the latter bucket. But diamonds in the rough can be landed that way.

On an overall level, we have so much RB talent, but the fact that all of them were still injured as recent as late April is concerning.
