Looks like a pretty solid deal all around.
Very interesting. Thanks, Jeff.
Finally UAB has a firm seat at the table.

Bham's Team has a home.

Work on building traditions.

Embrace the new venue.

The future is bright indeed.
Nothing about stadium certificates?

Seriously, good job Mark Ingram for negotiating what looks like a good deal for UAB
Good to see that they are addressing tailgating at an early stage. I hope that turns out to be spectacular, as well.
If my old mind comprehends - Looks like a bump up from what we got from LF regarding parking & concessions though an upgrade nonetheless being in a new stadium plus probably handled by concession company rather than relying on some hs/church group volunteers. I do wonder what comes out in the tailgating plans.

When UAB leaves Legion Field for the last time it will be saying goodbye to worry over Stadium Certificates provisions since they apply only to any football games played there.

One topic I did not see mentioned by Jeff is UAB's right to charge a premium for buying prime location Blazer FB tickets like UAB presently charges for the prime location Bartow Arena tickets. Jeff said that the BJCC would sell UAB tickets, but what about premium charges to buy them?.

UAB isn’t worried about Stadium Certificates. Only you.
That looks like a pretty good deal for UAB. Getting to keep 50% of concessions/parking and 100% of digital ads should be a nice revenue booster. The permanent UAB signage will be a nice addition for branding too.

Speak for yourself. My great granddaddy Bocephus T. "Clete" Legalblazer fought in World War I and lost his left leg during the Spring offensive of 1918. He was awarded two stadium certificates for his service to the American Legion and his coordination of the annual Hopscotch for America tournaments held in West End near the cable car stop.

His legacy to us was those seats. Now I have no idea where I will sit at UAB games.

Best post here in a while
I guess the answer to my question is "I don't know". We will just have to wait and see how much UAB will charge us for the privilege of buying prime location sideline season tickets at the new venue. How much does UAB charge now for midcourt basketball tickets at Bartow? That might prove to be a guide for what to expect for similar location seats at the BJCC stadium.
I honestly don't see how it could take 3 years to build this thing. They built the new dome in Atlanta in 3 years.
Part of that time is actual design. It has not been designed.

I mean technically with the roof situation it's not 100% complete yet

Design can't be done in final form until ACTUAL funding meets ACTUAL priorities. A lot of the desired "bells & whistles" that are supposed to make this stadium an improvement over Legion Field will have to wait for their funding to happen. The list of these is a long one.
i predict that "bells & whistles" will be the new "stadium certificates" in the future
