Interesting article comparing Kaiser Wilhelm to Donald Trump. Even if you don't agree with the comparison, the article is interesting if you just read it to learn about Wilhelm (who wasn't singly responsible for World War I but he was a big part of its origins).

This historical paragraph from the link is amusing...

He called the diminutive King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy “the dwarf” in front of the king’s own entourage. Since Wilhelm was notably indiscreet, people always knew what he was saying behind their backs. Ferdinand had his revenge. So the author details Wilhelm's shortcomings and somehow projects those onto Trump? The links are missing. I think the article provides us with an interesting and illustrative glimpse into how the eastern establishment views Trump. We are supposed just to accept their conclusions.

Ever notice how zputin gets what he wants most of the time. Did the great Angels Merkle stop Russia from taking part of Ukraine (including an entire seaport)? Nope. Is Putin that much smarter than Merkle. Nope. The difference is Putin knows that the world is governed by the aggressive use of force. Merkle either does not understand that or is not willing to use force—thus, as long as Putin is willing to use force and the West is not—Putin will ultimately get his way.

The funny thing is, the Greta Soviet Army couldn’t even take and rule Afganastan. Why? Cuz a bunch of peasants with a handful of decent weapons from the US were willing to use force in opposition to the USSR regardless of the cost.

The reality is Trumps strategies will work because he is willing to use force—-whether that be military or trade policy—-to win. We have the largest military and largest economy. There is a lot of harping about a trade war. There isn’t going to be a trade war. Trump isn’t even seeking a US advantage in trade. All he wants is fair trade. If that’s too unreasonable for our so called “friendly” trading partners—-then I’m ok with a “trade war”. In the end, it’s a net plus for our economy.
