Leathernecks booked

Until we actually start winning games and become more of a respectable program, we have no standing to scoff at most teams on our schedule. This includes WIU sadly.

Gotta be patient. I feel that by Monty's 10th year here, the Huskies will win more and consistently have .500 seasons. Just gotta have faith! But, then again, they could go back to being be young and then they'll still be under .500. But, they will develop!!! It just takes a little longer to develop winning teams at NIU.
I just didn't like playing multiple lower division schools. Have one game as a warmup and then move on to Division I schools. And then have a few good teams on the schedule.
Playing Illinois schools is the right thing to do.

More Loyola, Depaul, Northwestern, less WIU, EIU would be nice.

2018-19 is Monty's 8th year.
That sixth grader when he started is now entering his Sophomore year in college.
We are both still waiting for a breakthrough.

I feel like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin to appear.

Well, let's look at it this way. In many of Monty's years, the team was young. Then when they got a little older and "matured", many developed attitudes and walked off the team or played without knowing what an assist is. Although other MAC teams win games and compete for the championship, we are mired in so many excuses as to why we have played poorly. But, have faith! One of these years we will win the MACC and go to the Big Dance! I just hope and pray that our first game there will be in a warm city with a beach!

I feel like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin to appear.

And I feel like Charlie Brown attempting to kickoff with Lucy as the holder.
I feel like Jack Dawson waiting for the RMS Carpathia to arrive.
I ain't going to make it so enjoy it when it finally gets here.
I just have to laugh at EIU turning us down. Like who the heck is EIU of Coles County, IL to turn someone down? LOL
And there goes the dream of that MSU game being a home game, darn it. Somewhat excited for the Butler game, not too bad of a drive for me.

The Coach Montgomery thing is tough. Like Carey, major questions are deserved at this point, but the thing that gives that hesitation with Coach Montgomery is the fact he is brining in more talent than we have had here in ages. At some point he has to run into a talented player who is not at the maturity level of a 5th grader. This is THE year for Coach Montgomery. In my eyes, you have to finish top 2 in the West and/or top 4 in the conference. The talent is there to do it.

Sadly by then our beach bodies will be gone, right DF?

My beach body was gone two days after I was born from overdosing on breast milk. What can I say? I do still have a beach body, however, for beaches strewn with beached whales and sea cows.

If I remember correctly, EIU got Illinois to come down to Charleston last year and beat them too.
The EIU vs Illinois game was a exhibition for storm victims and Charleston is only 45 minutes from U of I so many of their fans could attend. EIU athletic director was assistant AD at U of I.
Sounds like Huskies may be playing Butler, Michigan St and Georgia Tech along with a tourney at Oakland University pretty good schedule
