Seeing one of the founding MLS teams moving kinda sucks

Now things get interesting.
If the Crew move then I wonder if USL goes to Columbus and tries to take advantage of that market and stadium.
Domino effect of this is that it could pave the way for a baseball stadium in San Antonio

The AA San Antonio team is moving after this year, and being replaced with a AAA franchise. That team will play in the current AA stadium but is wanting a better stadium as it is rather old.
San Antonio was wanting a MLS team, but with it appearing Austin is getting one, it becomes much less likely for San Antonio. San Antonio now much more likely to spend money on a baseball stadium.
I'm still wondering if San Antonio will build a new AAA baseball stadium, or try to land an MLB expansion team and then build a baseball stadium.

Building a new stadium might attract the Rays or the Athletics, but I don't think MLB would expand into San Antonio.
Might as well give it a shot.

They could always build one that seats 10K with plans to easily expand to 40 or so. I think Buffalo did that with their AAA park, they just never got the chance to actually move forward.
Shame about the Crew. IIRC their current pitch was the first MLS-specific stadium to be built, but alas times change and their owner seems like a POS.
