I would stand up and applaud Keatts and thank him and his staff for the tremendous job that they did for the program. 3 straight regular season titles, 2 tournament championships, 2 NCAA appearances, 20, 25 and 29 win seasons, I could go on and on. I would like to see our Seahawks play nc state sometime in the future. I wish him best of luck in Raleigh, but haven't watched his team play since he left because I have no interest in acc bball.

I think any reasonable fan expected him to leave, and most predicted State. We were always a stepping stone, and he blessed us by coming here and rejuvenating our program on his path to bigger things. The issue that I, and many others, have is the manner in which he left and the pieces he left behind. He was in Raleigh for an interview the next day. Did he even fly back to Wilmington with the team? He didn’t tell his own team before he media did (although it is hard to keep this things covered up nowadays). He took his coaching staff, expectedly, but then also took our strength trainer and athletic trainer. If he had taken his time with it, only stayed in his department when cleaning out his office, and made sure the team knew before everyone else, then I would be ok with it. But for all of these reasons that are, in my opinion, classless moves,, I am not a fan of Kevin Keatts.

Any counter?

I don’t think it’s much of a “counter”, but I simply just don’t care anymore. I’m not saying anyone here is wrong for caring or having an opinion one way or the other but I’ve moved on. I’m not cheering for him or rooting against him. He helped us out. We improved from what we are and we’ve moved in a different direction. What he did or didn’t do means nothing to me anymore. He’s just a past coach that we’ll never see again. I’m 100% behind McGrath and would rather put my time, money, and mental effort towards the coach AND players currently and in the future wearing the Teal, blue, and gold.

Oh. And I like our new schedule better anyways.
