Dukes on national TV is huge. Win vs SEC would be huge, but it’s a no-lose situation because the commentary narrative yesterday was already trending toward “they made it this far without one of the best players in the country.” So regardless of the outcome, it’s a good national TV commercial for how legitimate the program is at JMU. But yeah, winning would be great too.
The lacrosse game is the one with something actually to lose, and I know nothing about the sport so I don’t know our chances. I’d imagine the games are actually televised by the time you get to the Final Four, so the exposure from winning would be good.
Either way, these teams have both had excellent seasons and cemented the fact that if you’re an elite softball or lacrosse player, JMU is far and away the best place in Virginia to go play in college.
Elite 8 and hosting Florida. Let that sink in for a minute. Florida is one of the wealthiest college programs in the country and they are playing at JMU today.
In baseball, basketball or football the JMU Nation would be going crazy right now. This accomplishment is not getting the exposure with our alums it deserves. Softball hosting LSU in the supers got far more exposure.
This season has been another great one for the Dukes.

Tenn -3.5 runs versus JMU. Or about 4-1 underdogs on the money line.
JMU -1.5 Versus Gators. Or about a 3-2 favorite on the money line.
