Brnovich named to 2018 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team

Elon University sophomore right-handed pitcher Kyle Brnovich has accepted an invitation to join the 24-man USA Baseball Collegiate National Team roster this summer.

The 2017 Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Year, Brnovich ranks second nationally with 132 strikeouts this season. That number is an Elon single-season record and ranks 10th on the CAA's single-season chart.

Brnovich will be the first Elon baseball player to don the Stars and Stripes.

What’s your thoughts on the CAA Tourney?

Elon's had good year. 35-21 and 16-8 in the CAA. Phoenix have the number 2 seed and a first round bye. They come in hot having won the last 7 games. Having said all that.. you never know what's going to happen. But to answer your question, I like Elon's chances to do some damage and hold up well for that 2 seed they worked hard for. If all goes well, NCAA Tournament here we come! Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
