We will get in at least a couple of games. Rain has been on and off and not very heavy.

Welp another day....another rain out in Boone. Hopefully we can get a double header in one day or move a game to Sunday but the weekend forecast does not look promising.

Well in a rather interesting move, there is now a double header in Boone tomorrow beginning at noon. Now I know our attendance is bad but you have the number one team in the conference in town, the closest team geographically in our conference, college kids gone for the summer and you're playing a noon game and moving tomorrow nights game from 6 up to likely 3:30? Not to mention on short notice for those of us that work a 9-5 (aka everyone at this point with college kids of out town). That place will be a ghost town. I hate it too. Been looking forward to this series hopefully having a decent fan showing. Still, correct decision by the athletic department. 90% chance of storms tomorrow, 80% chance Saturday, and 80% chance of afternoon storms Sunday if anyone was wondering. This may just be let's plan as early in the day as possible and play when we get spurts of decent weather and hopefully get 3 games in over the 4 day window. A tough task in Boone these days! Hold on to your ponchos chants, may be a long weekend. Maybe this will mess with your product on the field this weekend and we can sneak a win!

Cats had to bring their SS to the mound again for the 2nd time in 3 games. B9th, Mav had the bases loaded and 1 out. Sherley closed the door, and preserved the Bobcat win.

Maybe we shoulda had this guy pitching all along.

T 10th ULM loaded the bases with 1 out, but couldn't get a run across.

Louisiana wins 4-3 in extras over ULM.

Wild game between AState and Little Rock. Little Rock hit Kyle McDonald in the head early, and he got a little angry. Next at bat he hit one to Jupiter. Turned looked in the Little Rock dugout and flipped his bat, while proceeding to take the longest trot around the bases in history. They got mad, words were exchanged, and the sides were separated.

Then two innings later McDonald hit one to Saturn. Again he stared the Trojans down, but avoided the bat flip at least. That mess riled up the Trojans, who had managed 1 hit through the first 6 innings. We went to our closer with 2 outs in the 7th, and he proceeded to let 6 of the next 8 batters reach base. Five of them came around to score. We brought in another reliever who escaped a bases loaded jam tied in the 8th.

Top 9. We get a guy on 2nd with 1 out. McDonald waits on deck, so they have to throw our guy a strike. I watch as Trojan coaches wave the left fielder in. Next pitch gets rocketed over the left fielders head for an RBI double and a lead. Bottom 9 our reliever starts hitting 98-99 on the radar gun, which we've never seen. Two strikes two outs, he uncorks a 100 MPH fastball...strike 3, game over. We win.
