Lots of opinions all over the place. New Jersey plans to be up and running in a month. What happens to Rutgers and the Big 10? Some pro teams expect the value of their franchises to skyrocket. Will Ohio have betting on Ohio State and Toledo?
I don’t believe Ohio will have legalized gambling in the near future.

You do recall the 5 casinos that now exist in Ohio, right? There is no reason to believe that Ohio won't follow suit with NJ, NV, and any other state moving forward with significant gambling infrastructure that received voter approval...and the gaming companies would probably have a field day in the courts if they did block it after this ruling.

I know it was Federal, but the precedent has now been set in some capacity. That SC case would move to a State's Rights situation though, which could complicate it if someone wants to fight that hard against it. Personally, I see nothing problematic with it, given that the voters already legalized gambling....just limit bets to those facilities and you're all good in my book. The guy who is already collecting votes for a constitutional referendum to include betting in bars is going a bridge too far though IMO.

On top of the casinos, there are a number of horse tracks as well. Those are already equipped to take sports bets. The first sportsbook in NJ will be at Monmouth Park, a horse track.
I don't have a right to die in this country, without paying the mandatory health insurance bill anyhow but at least now I can go broke betting for my favorite team.
