The Cuse!

So the team returning a ton of players and seeing players recruited by Dino Babers starting to take on larger roles...the Cuse is now like 1 win bad according to this Dolt

The OL will be lights out better this year...add in Dungey and if he gets hurt we have an Elite 11 Finalist QB waiting to play. The defense is actually seeing taller and faster corners now...I don't think the Defense will be that bad...at least Top 70.

We will be better at almost every position. WRs and LBers are questions, but the raw talent is good. I expect no less than 5 wins and could see as many as 8 if Dungey stays healthy for the whole year. We beat ranked VT and Clemson the last two years. #109 is laughable
Number 109 is laughable. Although I dont have a lot of confidence in Babers, he has never put a team on the field thats that bad. Number 109 is Gerg Robinson bad.
You gave the Orlando Sentinel exactly what it wanted: traffic.

And instead of hard journalism all they had to do was hammer out some trolling for 10 minutes and they'll get 5x more traffic than a real story would have.

The sad thing is the author is an actual voter in the Top 25 poll.

I agree with you 100%. Case and point, the Louisville Courier Journal does the same "crap" to sell papers. It is journalism at worst case of "yellow journalism"!

Clearly this writer is like the average journalist (knows truly nothing upon the topic he\she is reporting). Otherwise I wouldn't be surprised to see Syracuse upset another top 25 team again this season.
Yeah ... I expect Syracuse to take a step forward this season.

Isn't Babers coming into his third year there? That's the time the players he's recruited for his systems should really be making an impact.

Don't sweat this hack.

Hell ... you guys beat Clemson last season. You know your team is capable of doing big things.
As bad as Carolina was last year, they were ranked about #90 with 3 wins. I'd like to think Syracuse should be able to get 3 wins against WMU, Wagner and UConn. How they do the rest of the way may depend on how physically beaten up they are at the hands of FSU and Clemson whom they play in the first half of the season.

With Carolina and Pitt as their crossover opponents, and NC State likely to be much weaker than last year, a bowl is not out of the question. Cuse fans should be disappointed with fewer than 5 wins, and over the moon with 8. I think their over/under should be around 6, which would probably have them ranked somewhere around 70.

Well that's the same newspaper that pushed the UCF national championship issue. The newspaper business is suffering so much nationwide that anything that grabs headlines sells (negative sells more than positive and controversial works just as well).

You have a lot of former Northeastern folks living from Orlando/Tampa to the South. Stir 'em up and you sell papers. It's all just yet another reason to (a) ignore them because the nature of the paper means the truth is no longer the objective in reporting (b) all the more reason that newspapers and sportswriters should never again decide champions.

I feel sorry for newspapers. Even their E services lag because of how they put together a paper which even for online services is way too slow for popping news. And since the really crooked operations cut their ink costs by thinning it with formaldehyde you can't even safely use them as a fish wrapper anymore.
Well said JRsec. All they write now is usually negative. Sadly the whole industry has become just like the KBG and Fake news! 07-coffee3
That ranking butchered the G5 teams as well. They're just throwing names into a bucket and creating shock value.
