Stans at it again! Lands former Auburn forward Desean Murray 6-3 230.....He averaged 10 and 7 last season, a little undersized but seems to have a knack for rebounding....He played first two seasons at Presbyterian where he averaged 15 and 20 a game.....So definitely knows how to score and rebounding from our guards was a weakness last season, looks like that might be addressed with this guy now on board....
Honestly can't tell you how big of a pickup this is for WKU. He plays so much bigger than 6'3" and I really couldn't believe he left Auburn after the impact that he had. WKU got onto his radar and was able to close the deal quickly. The last thing I had seen was that he was choosing between Baylor and Maryland.

Y'all should try him out at LB too. He is the perfect size.

He appears to like new surroundings every couple of years. He was a starter at Presbyterian before Auburn.

You know you’re done with American football when you read this post wondering why in the hell the wku soccer team would want a 230 pound 6’3 left back.

I think the reality is that Bruce Pearl told him he'd be coming off the bench behind Danjel Purifoy and/or Chuma Okeke, so he (understandably) wanted to find a starting job elsewhere. It's unfortunate that Bruce scared him away. Dude was always around the rim.

What is he Charles Barkley Jr?, impressive rebounding averages for a guy listed at 6-3.....
Anthony Winchester was 6'4, 205 and couldn't jump over a phone book and averaged 7.2 rebs his Jr season and 5.6 his Sr season. So you dont have to be all bulk, jump high or have height, to rebound.

Hustle, toughness, blocking out and thinking every ball close to you belongs to you is the key to smaller players rebounding very well.

I personally don't like the GT but it looks like it's going to be a huge part of the game for a while. So far Western had the better of it in BB and FB

Auburn played a up-tempo style and shot a lot of 3s so I'm sure that played into the number of rebounds Murray averaged. But considering minutes played 6.7 is still pretty dang good.

Just to clarify... you mean you're not sure how big of a pickup this is? As in you didn't think he was that good? Or you mean like "I can't overstate how big of a pick up this is"?

I think he means Murray is a damn good player

Well, that's what I thought but I wanted to be sure. I would be interested in his opinion either way since he's an Auburn fan.
