Then we'll meet our designated armed robber, tonight, I think it is either Timmy from Smithfield or Gerald from Pleasant Grove. Just don't make any sudden movements and give him at least $40 in cash and there won't be any problems.

As we pass under the bridge, make sure not to make eye contact with the man in the green jacket, unless you are in the market for something that will F- you up til Tuesday.

Once past Regions Field well turn past the Children's hospital, the most beautiful hospital in all of Alabama.

Then turn north again on 24th to cross the railroad tracks , we'll take the bridge on 24th street, that is if we cross 20th in one piece.

From the top of the bridge you get a fine view of the old Sloss furnace, and a fine view of the new Furnace, helping keep downtown heated up since 2008.

Across the 24th street bridge, I'll pause for you folks to pee and get at beer at Carrigan's, the finest Public House in downtown Birmingham.

When you get back to the buggy, please don the body armor I'll have set out for you, you'll need it for the rest of the trip.

When we get back to Linn park I'll wait and make sure your car is still there, or if to see that you get into a cab safely before heading out with my next couple.

There is nothing more romantic than being towed around by a smelly 1500 pound beast that pisses and craps while it walks, holding up traffic and dropping landmines for automobiles, bicycles, and pedestrians, and just might get spooked and trample someone during the ride.

Weird to see UAB fans take this view. UAB fans of all people need to be on the front lines embracing and cheering on Birmingham's renaissance since our fate is tied closely to that of the city as far as attracting people downtown to our games.

Birmingam (downtown especially) has really turned a corner in the last 5 years. I lived downtown for two years and really enjoyed it. And get this, I was never even close to being a victim of a crime! I thought I would be murdered at least 37 times.
