Rice (133) at MT (182)
Charlotte (128) at LT (69)
USM (51) at FIU (162)
Marman is officially out for the rest of the season. Coletti has been doing better on Saturdays; Ruff has been a bit inconsistent on Sundays. We do have some good relief pitching, so hopefully we get the lead early on and just have to hold on to it.

A good series against UTSA this weekend.
From the Hattiesburg American newspaper on either Tuesday or Wednesday:

Regarding the status of ace pitcher Nick Sandlin’s shoulder, Golden Eagle baseball coach Scott Berry said the medical exams produced positive results.

“There is no damage at all to the arm,” Berry said. “Everything checked out good there. But as far as he’s concerned, he’ll be iffy this weekend. For sure, he won’t be seeing the field on Friday, I can assure you of that.”

Berry said the team will not try to rush Sandlin back to the field.

“We’ve got to pace ourselves with him and make sure he’s 100 percent when he comes back,” he said. “We’re going to take it slow. He’s got to do a lot of stretching.”

Hopefully the weather this weekend won't come into play:

The Weather Channel named the system Winter Storm Xanto.

To the south, an outbreak of severe thunderstorms is forecast for portions of the central and southern Plains to the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee Valleys. "The storms may bring the full spectrum of severe weather ranging from high winds, large hail, flash flooding, frequent lightning strikes and perhaps a tornado," AccuWeather warned.

The same storm system is also expected to produce heavy rainfall from eastern Texas to western Kentucky, with the potential for 1 to 3 inches of rain through early Saturday, the weather service said. Flash flooding is possible in portions of Arkansas and Louisiana.
114, eh? Only a 40-point drop. That's not that bad I guess.
MT's game on Saturday with Rice has been moved to Friday, Double Header starts at 3PM Friday
Tech is only West team (FB division) at home in West.
Charlotte at LT not playing today and now playing a DH on Saturday
Through 4 UTSA up 4-1 over owls.

T5 | Four runs have scored in the panel for UTSA, including one on Tony Beam's double to the wall in right. Roadrunners lead FAU 8-1.
USM up 1-0 after 4 on Matt Wallner’s 9th HR of the season in the 2nd inning. Been a quick one so far as the first 4 innings lasted just 52 minutes

Speaking of that the long ball is what made the first owl run, and they began with that. It's been 8 straight for the runners
Rice has now won 5 straight conference games.
B5 | Florida Atlantic has scored six times in the bottom of the panel. UTSA has brought in Derek Craft to try to hang on to this 8-7 lead.

USM up 4-0 after 7. Just hoping now that our bullpen doesn’t blow it when/if called upon as Sandlin won’t pitch this weekend.
The owls scores 7 to tie after 5 and go ahead in the 6th
B8 | FAU pushes across another run to increase its lead to 10-8 over UTSA.

USM gets just what it needed with Sandlin not pitching this weekend.....8 shutout innings from our normal Saturday pitcher Stevie Powers which sets his career high for innings pitched in a game. He’s on now to pitch bottom 9.
Florida Atlantic beats UTSA 10-8. Game #2 tomorrow at 4 p.m.
