With Crabtree signing with Tulane, I am really trying stay optimistic about getting quality guys to fill the presumably three scholarships left. I mean, yes it is great Tyler will more than likely sign, but that leaves us with two undersized 1's. Just get us a big 5 Penny.

Thought the same thing. As it relates to schollys, Poets mindset is caused by BFS. Battered Fan Syndrome... no matter how good things are going, BFS causes you to always be worried, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Of course there is concern, but also a lot of reasons to feel optimistic. It all looks good on paper until Penny comes through in all phases of being a D1 coach. There is going to be a learning curve for sure, but hopefully being able to close deals with recruits will make the job easier.
Honestly I think this seasons team will be mostly similar to last seasons. Its the 2019 class I'm hoping brings us back.
Patience....we are most likely not an NCAA team next year.
So far we replaced Johnson with Lomax and Nickelberry with Hardaway.
We need to replace Rhodes with Harris and then
add a transfer or reclassifying big or 2 and maybe a shooting 3.
We definitely need to continue to move forward in a positive direction. After 4 years of frustration, we need a solid run of good results to continue the vibes of hope going forward.

I think 92.9 hyped me and others possibly with all of the "possible" players this coming year. Didn't help the BFS. Glad to be on finally.

When you look at it this way it looks promising to improve from last year.
We lost Nick, Johnson, Rivers and Rhodes
We gained Lomax, Hardaway and hopefully Harris.
Freshmen Lomax = Freshmen Johnson (Maybe shoots a higher percentage)
Freshmen Hardaway = Freshmen Nick (Heck cant be worse)
Freshmen Harris >>> Junior Rhodes
Senior Rivers ???
Now if you look at it through the lense if Tubby stayed vs. Now we are nowhere close yet.
Soph Nick > Fresh Hardaway
Freshmen PG Recruit (Cant remember Name) = Freshmen Lomax
Senior Rhodes << Freshmen Harris
Johnson ???
