This year spring game and festivities should be a great event. Here is the list of events:

- Big Blue 1K kids run at 10 a.m
- Big Blue 5K at 10:30 a.m
- Joe Nichols Concert at 12:30 pm
- ODU Spring Game at 3:00 pm
- Charity Bowl at 4:30 pm

There will be an autograph session with the celebrities during the game. The Washington Redskins cheerleaders will be in attendance, as well as the Joe Gibbs Racing #18 M&M ShowCar. All events after the race are free and open to the public. Attendees for the concert, Spring Game and Charity Bowl are encouraged to use the public parking in Constant Center parking garage off of 43rd street and the parking deck at the corner of Elkhorn Ave. and 43rd street. Parking for these events is free.
As for the game, I am really looking for SW to control the offense. I want the O-line to give him some time to make throws and the running backs some decent holes. I know they should be getting good practice against one of the best D-lines in C-USA. But it would also not surprise me at all if the defense shut down the offense. Hopefully its 50/50 with both sides getting better.

I've never attended or even been able to watch any of our previous spring games other than some highlights, but I would think the defense would have the advantage regardless of any talent disparity. I mean they know and/or have access to every play the offense runs. Also, does everybody on the team eventually play or do the starters/main rotation guys play the majority of the game?
Anyone know which celebrities will be playing in the Charity Bowl?
Some info on the Spring Game, plus new stadium, and plans for next year. https://pilotonline.com/sports/columnist...52698.html
On to more important questions about the spring game. Is there tailgating? If so, where?
I too would like a gate on my tail tomorrow!

Another article on the spring game.
Anyone know where we can get a list of the 2 teams and player numbers for the Spring game? I know they gave us one a couple of years but most years they have not. Hard to know who is who without a program, not to mention all the guys playing for both teams or wearing more than one number. 07-coffee3

Well I am disappointed in SW performance today. DA and BL did well. BL almost lead the first team to victory late in the 4th. #44 was impressive at running back. Center and long snapper had issues that cost the qbs, punter and kicker. #7 Fulgham still has issues with catching and routs
Duhart?

Looked back in action, he took a couple hard hits and popped up fine.
Can someone provide a full report and analysis on the game? Thanks
IMO Drayton looked better than Williams. Williams touch still not quite there, led receivers to much.
They made much more use of tight end today. R-Fr Keoin White looked good at TE. He should get plenty of PT and may start. Good size, speed but dropped 1-2 shoulda caught. R Fr Matt Geiger-rb.# 44 Got lots of touches, looked good. will play lots, can catch.
As mentioned, punting and field goals sucked really bad. Lots of work to do there, but I noticed Cate limping all day so I suspect he strained something. LS may be a problem.
Corners played up on the receivers quite a bit. Nice look.
Noah Ellison, H. Patterson both made some nice catches, but the star of the day had to be I. Harper. He looked great!
Defense clearly ahead of the Offense, to be expected I guess. I still think our corners are very undersized

I didn't see anything to make me say we'll go undefeated for sure. My totally uneducated guess is we finish between 5-7 to 7-5.

Thanks! We should have recruited a senior transfer QB and let Williams redshirt and develop.
The two players that stood out to me were DA and newly converted running back #44 Matt Geiger

Stats from the game:
Passing

Steven Williams: 6-14, 42 yds, INT; Drayton Arnold: 14-21, 195 yds, 2TD, 1 INT; Blake LaRussa: 11-17, 135 yds, 2 TD

Rushing

Brandon Simmons: 10-39; Matt Geiger: 8-34; Kesean Strong: 8-27, 2 TD, Gemonta Jackson: 15-26; Steven Williams: 3-28; Drayton Arnold: 12-14; Blake LaRussa: 2-6; Isaiah Harper: 1-12

Receiving

Noah Ellison: 3-39 TD; Jonathan Duhart: 2-12; Hasaan Patterson: 2-40 TD; Jake Herslow: 1-12; Scott McCluney 4-53 TD; Travis Fulgham: 1-4; Isaiah Harper: 3-53 TD; Kesean Strong: 1-30; Gemonta Jackson: 1--1; Keion White: 4-53; Brandon Simmons: 5-31; Matt Geiger: 4-46
I was really impressed with Kesean Strong. He is a speed demon! When he turns on the AB, he just walks away from everyone else. He had a good day with several good runs and some plays that were called back on penalties. I think we will see a lot of him this fall.

I also liked what I saw out of Geiger. He is a "damn the torpedos, full speed ahead" kind of player -- fun to watch.
