Nothing official on Walker as of yet. With it "leaking" out, if he is the guy we will hear something soon. If we don't, I'd bet on it being somebody else. Who knows who leaks this stuff to the media. I know for sure it isn't Chasse or the Chancellor so everything we have heard, or think we know, may just be rumors.
And even if it is a legitimate effort, that still doesn't mean that they can come to terms.
Chancellor Rogerson says "nothing's been signed"

not exactly a denial lol...
They might be in negotiations now. Or it could be BS.

This "source" may be deliberate rumor mongering to put pressure on LR to select Darrell. Not hiring DW now that this is circulating will make the rift between the pro-DW camp (wally, hog fans, whomever) and the school even worse if they don't hire Darrell now. I mean "c'mon, he got the degree and the two very successful seasons of college coaching"...lots of people will think that dumb old "UALR" owes Darrell the job for doing his homework (and wearing the Cardinal and White).

Chasse is no dummy...he's doing his homework too and will only hire the best *fit* for the job--the job of winning conference championships and advancing in postseason play. Unlike Wes and Chris, Darrell has ZERO D1 coaching experience and to any rational person that is a liability. If he is motivated by money, then it is a literal gamble to hire him.
Looking for Darrell meeting the media on Friday at the jack

Did hear on one LR TV station last night that Darrell Walker was gonna be the coach, Don't remember which one since I watched three different newscast sports. No. Hog channel 4 wasn't one of them.

If it is to be Walker, might that much time for his rich boosters to "Show The Money" and get it into the University's hands!

Maybe you're right, but I think you can be rational and not believe that. He has coached in the NBA. He has coached on the minor league professional level. He has coached DII. He has been around basketball as a player, coach, assistant coach, and NBA scout his entire life. I feel like he has a ton of relevant experience. Is he clearly the "best" coach we could get- Maybe, maybe not. It is always somewhat of a crapshoot. But he brings other things to the table, that a no name (to everyone in Central Arkansas other than diehard Trojan fans) like Harper or Schertz would bring.
He's a marked improvement over Flanigan in a lot of ways (maturity, leadership, pro career, communication) no matter that he has not coached a day in D1.
