7 of CUSA’s 14 will have finished the year with 20 wins or more. This league is getting better.
tap those brakes...
CUSA needs to start winnng more regular season OOC games then the recognition will come. Hopefully the momentum from these postseason runs will carry over to start next season. Otherwise we’ll be right back here.
I would take a first round exit from the NCAA tournanent over a championship in the CBI or CIT and I'd take a Sweet Sixteen berth over a NIT championship.

As would we all. But I think playing extra games is the best practice for next season and builds a strong team. Good stuff.
No doubt that we would rather be dancing right now then playing in the CBI Finals, but like others have said, the experience of lose-and-go-home tournaments is invaluable. The CBI has also been a nice springboard tourney recently for the NCAA's.

2015 CBI Champ- Loyola-Chicago
2016 CBI Champ- Nevada

That's obvious.

You're right.

I agree.

I'd like to know how many of our teams are bringing back the majority of their impact players next season. That would be a fair indicator of whether or not C-USA will be building on our post-season success, or regressing.

USM only had 1 senior and he was a walk-on who played a backup role. Also, we’re getting 2 more scholarships back from the probation which puts us at 11 scholarships and 2 walkons. Our 5 starters were all juniors with the 3 main reserves being the 1 walk-on senior along with a sophomore and a freshman.

We are bringing back everyone except two bench players and adding two bigs. And I mean bigs.

C-USA went 71-79 this season, highest it has been in three years and that's with two of the most storied programs (Charlotte & UTEP) completely bottoming out in. We had five teams in the bottom 100 of the RPI, but still had two teams in running for at-large bids (MT & WKU). I think most of the lower teams will trend up next season, rising the tide. I could see things lining up for one at-large next season if Charlotte, UTEP & FAU all make leaps with their first year coaches. It's all about getting the conference winning percentage over .500, no matter how, only need to find 5 games more and between Charlotte & UTEP I don't think that will be an issue.
