That's toughest opponent schedule. Oregon is right next to Toledo. OSU is #87, Wisconsin is #99. Opponent Power Ranking would be more accurate.
A lot like 2015. Fresno State is a good G5. Miami is a big name P5 AND at home. 7 home games is perfect. An easy November... It's a 12-0 type year.

Miami should be better than last season
A legit Top 10

12-0?!?!

With a new QB? You ARE a glass half full kind of person.

Why can’t we be 12 /0? Miami would be a stretch. However I remember sitting in the stands watching the best football game I’ve ever attended when we took the wind from Pitt. Dang that was a good game. Was it not?

You mean that overrated 8--5 Pitt team?
If we go 12-0 ill streak around the Glass Bowl in November. Possible? Sure. Going to happen? Probably not.

Yeah, that Miami game will be a shocker if it goes the Rockets' way. I think 10-2/9-3 is easily do-able, and would love to see what Bradley can bring to the table.

Meh. They struggled this season down the stretch. They are always overrated and are a team to get on a high horse and miss step in the glass bowl.

VMI 99%
Nevada 90%
Bye
Miami 20%
@ Fresno 50%

MAC games 1-8 we will be no worse than a 60% fav and that's relegated to WMU if they turn out to be good. The rest will be 75% and up.
Didn't Fresno improve a ton last year. Two years ago in the Glass Bowl they were god awful. That coach was one and done .... I think they have Tedford as coach now and were back last year incredibly. Fresno will be a tough win.

Miami could be interesting if they come in flat and our Oline measures up.

Last season was Richt's 2nd year at the "U". He's brought in better talent. Last season they didn't the depth to deal with the injuries. I wouldn't expect to see the same QB for the Canes.

Yes, they should be better, so should we. Our coach will have another year under his belt and more of his recruits.

I don't believe they were banged up until after our game. A little rusty from the hurricane layoff perhaps, were they missing any key players for our game? I know we both lost players during the game. No reason to think that we shouldn't keep it competitive and have a shot to win at home. A lot will depend on how quickly our QB can get into rhythm with our offence. We still have plenty of skill and depth returning elsewhere.

Not saying we will win with any certainty, simply we should have the ability to be just as competitive as last season.05-stirthepot

Need better play out of the Rocket OL and Defense. Won't have a shot if UT can't run the FB. Defense can't afford to be in position to stop the RB and then have them bounce it to the outside. Also need better coverage on their passing routes. Berrios was too open.
I respect what Phil Steele has to say most times. Strength of schedule is a moot point if we don't win no matter who our opponent is.

GO ROCKETS !!!!!!!!

And they need to put the ball in the end zone instead of kicking field goals when they are inside the 5 yd line!

Strength of schedule means 0. Win the West and the MAC championship. That's all that mattters and go bowling. Football is not like basketball. This team will be just as good or better than last years team.
I generally like Steele although he did publish how good our linebackers were gonna be this year.

I would judge the Miami game by last year's game which was competitive but we played jumpy at times. If we play confidently this year it should be close.
We embarrassed a bad Fresno team a few years ago and last year they reloaded in one year and was pretty good.

I wish our new QB recruits figured out a way to enroll this spring.
