According to Coach Forbes twitter Tray Boyd has signed with Bucs. We have 2 spots left. The grad transfer market is getting wilder by the hour with dozens of potential transfers announcing they are essentially 1 year free agents. Should be interesting.
So I guess no news is good news?

No news is no news.
So...............................................

1) What's happened to Ikhaven Curry? Last we heard he had changed schools and was going to CT to a prep school, but ETSU was supposedly still pursuing him. One wonders if that trail has gone cold, maybe not just for ETSU, but for everyone else, too? He was supposed to take numerous visits during the winter. Oh - and he's grown. Supposedly 6'6" now. We **may** have rescinded that offer.

prep school tidbits from Feb.

2) What about Jhery Matos, who visited in Feb.? He signed with Dayton 4 days ago.

3) Ques Glover, who also visited in Feb.? Still unsigned, and I sorta think we never offered him. Despite his in-state accolades, I kinda think he's more a low-major prospect. He'll maybe be a good player for somebody, but with the guards we're now loaded with, I think we're not going in that direction.

4) Multi-skilled Jamarius Burton? He made an official visit to George Mason last week, and seemed to like it. But he's also been getting more offers lately from such as Temple, Butler and UMass, and is going to visit the Shockers, if he hasn't already, this weekend after his Butler visit. He's now a 3*, and may have dismissed us. MVP of the NC state finals. He seems to now be looking bigger than us. Supposedly will decide soon.

5) His teammate Matthew Smith? Dirty dogs UNC-G offered him this week. He's got another year to go. Apparently is a stud in AAU.

6) The long and lightning-quick Jordan Gilliam? He was just a juco FR this year, but a lot of mid-majors want him. He's likely at the upper end of 2*s. Could even be pushing 3*s in a year if he stays at juco (Salt Lake CC, so he probably competed against Banks). On the other hand, we're getting loaded/crowded at that position/skill set. He's quite a player, tho.

OK - that's more than enough. And note I certainly didn't exhaustive study the updates on all these guys. Just a cursory overview.
Willesly Butler comitts to UAB.

Yeah, I knew that was which way the wind was blowing:

posterformerlyknownasthedoctor (4-11-18):
"I fear UAB is leaning hard on Butler. I guess we'll just see after his visit here. He's not only big and strong, but has *exceptionally* good hands and a soft touch. Also a decent leaper for someone his size, and is quite mobile. He will thrive somewhere good dealers can get him the ball in position. I have a feeling some of our guards will be able to do that - at least some of the time. But it won't be nearly as easy for him to generate stuff on his own at this level."

Well..............we only got 1 of those 3 (someone else posted that) we were hoping for, but as I always say....Forbes has a plan. But dang; I think we'd have been happy with him here. Anybody have any feedback on his visit here?
I am not sure but I don't think he ever visited ETSU.
Everyone show Khwan Fore some love on twitter! Would be a huge pickup for us.

He seemed to really like the Vols a couple of days ago.
I think teams only get 24 official visits every 2 years (I read that in an article talking about Pitt's situation). I wonder how close we have been getting to that limit recently.
May not matter much since they can also take unofficial visits too.
Don't believe there is any limit on number of visits. Only limit is one official visit by per recruit.

Hey "insider", why don't you grow a pair and quit blocking people on twitter. When you put words in Forbes' mouth your gonna get chirped at
SOCON recruiting kudos from a "John Hopper Perspective." I'm too tired to work up any purple epithets today and he does give Coach Forbes a modest nod for his and his staff's recruiting so far; which I am still holding out hope we haven't seen the best and the brightest yet.

Hate to see UNCG get a 4 star recruit, but kudos to them, I suppose. It'll make it sweeter to beat them

Hard to tell just from those short videos, but Abdulsalam and Easley both appear to be more 3*s than 4s to me. Easley will be a hard guard outside. Taylor is impressive; some of his arsenal reminds me a fair amount of McClung, minus 12-18" (or more) vertical. But I also saw a lot of "matador" D by his opponents, too. Frankly, Henderson looks totally beastly. Dotson looks like he plays a bit bigger than 6'7". Boyd is mighty smooth (but we knew that already). Slawson looks aggressive and 'competent' (I ain't gonna watch 1:26 of that game to scout him deeply).

And yes, Curtis still looks just like Dennis Rodman.

One can't help but wonder if these 4* recruits won't raise the profile of the SoCon over time.
It seems a bit early to be starting a 2019-20 recruiting thread, so I will place this here.

Verbal commits and his twitter account announce that ETSU has offered Devin Butts, a shooting guard.

I figured he would, think I might even have said that on here.
