Can’t say I’m surprised. He was brought in during Majerles first recruiting campaign. Each season Dan looked for someone bigger and more disciplined. This season, it just became more evident how Smith wasn’t on par with the talent being brought in. I wish him well. He might make an impact at a different school. Maybe a SWAC team, or else a D2 school needing some height.

Wish Kerwin all the best. Seemed like a first class guy. Hope he lands at a school where he can play.
Also like the fact that this provides GCU with another scholarship to offer.

There will be plenty of scholarships to go around. kerwin is just the beginning. I could see fifii and Roberts looking to transfer. I don't know what happened with fifii, but he barely played down the stretch.

Majerle sure likes to trash his players. He trashed almost everyone but Lever this year. Braun was benched in the 2nd half of championship game after he let Lofton open for that 3 that ended the 2nd half. He really could have used Fifi against us cause Fifi is more athletic and frankly the Aggies are way more talented than GCU but I've heard him trashing Fifi too. Benson struggled to get the ball down the court with Harris guarding him. I'm not impressed with Damari either and he will be a future player Majerle starts trashing and benching. He trashed Vernon all season but Vernon would talk back a lot. You guys are dreaming if next year is your dream season unless Majerle lands someone really good. Frayer is very talented but very inconsistent. Majerle keeps talking about being Gonzaga like and being top 25. Hell, beat NMSU first brah, you lost 3 times to us in one season!

GCU landed 6'6 guard Tim Finke last November. He is a 4-star recruit and one recruiting publication has him listed as the 4th best player in Illinois. He had offers from a lot of high profile programs. His father played for Lou Henson at Illinois and his older brother Michael Finke currently plays for Illinois; and he has another brother playing at Navy. Finke looks to be a better version of Josh Braun.

Who's saying dream season? Majerle has been holding players accountable since year 1. Nothing has changed, you all just care more now.

Another potential impact freshman is Wyatt Lowell; originally a 4-star prospect according to Rivals. He committed and signed with UVU over two years ago. He apparently went to LDS mission right out high school. If he actually shows up in a Wolverine uniform, at 6'10 with legit three point range and now two additional years for his body to mature, he could become a terror in this conference right away... think Mataj Kavas but taller.
