Just ordered my championship tix through the UT tix office. Instructions on the site says they will be available at will call in the Q arcade at 6 p.m., Whaaaat?!? Tip off is at 7 p.m. It is going to be a cluster - F%$K if everyone from Toledo is cramming into the lobby to get their tix an hour before tip off. Plan ahead if you're going. Tix were $34 plus a $3 handling fee. [/align]
I called 530-Gold to see if they really weren't going to set up shop until 6 p.m. and the tix office is closed, but the message says you can also purchase tickets at the UT will call table at 6 p.m. So everyone is going to be funneled to a table with one ticket office intern looking up tix and taking credit cards. We might be able to see the second half.
Hopefully your word gets to the powers that be so that they can make adjustments. If as you describe, then fans will be agitated, making those trying to distribute tickets agitated and even less efficient. It does have the makings of a mess.
Considering the crowd UT brought to the MACC in football, I agree they should be prepared for a lot of last minute purchases.

I am sure this is a Quicken Loans Arena decision and not a UT decision. The Q is undergoing some renovations, not a lot of space in the lobby area. An hour is plenty of time to get everyone taken care of. If you want to get in early and watch warmups show up at 5:45. Go Rockets!!!
There is no reason they cant be there ready for purchase or pick up by 3 pm.

Tried to buy three Tix for 20 a piece... After a handling, shipping and convenience fee it came to 113.00. With parking and tolls and gas added? Too pricey for me. Last year they did a losing lotto ticket for a 10$ ticket. Not even student deals for UT. Sucks.
If it is like last time there will be a spot in the Q near the ticket office where you can buy tickets in the Rocket section that is where we are going to get ours.

I called and the people didn't know of an offer... That's annoying. And I don't have any friends that are students anymore anyways. But a rocket card at least works for home games.
We got tickets with the bogo for $13 a piece from the box office today
Picking up tix tonight wasn't bad. UT tix staff did a nice job.
