My problem isn't with Tubby as much as it is whoever decided to make him one of the highest paid college basketball coaches in the country. Why would you pay a guy that much money to put an NIT product on the floor? You can find someone who will give you the same results for A LOT less money.
Please don't let 21 wins fool you. The fact that they have 21 wins and are still an NIT bubble team should tell you everything you need to know. Alabama, Oklahoma, et al. have 18/19 wins and are probably going to make the NCAA tournament.
Memphis's schedule was so watered down it's not even funny.
If the administration wants the city to support this team, they've got to do better than this.

You guys don’t get it. I could careless about being blocked, that has less than zero to do with it. The point is it’s a sissy move to block someone because you’re losing the argument.
