WKU added a home and home basketball series with the Arkansas Razorbacks in a multi-sport deal.
WKU basketball will travel to Arkansas next season with the return game scheduled for 2019.
WKU football will also play @Arkansas in 2019 with games vs Louisville (Nashville) and vs Army already on the schedule.
Any idea what the $$ figure is for the one game and done part in football? Just curious, cause I doubt them giving a home game to ya in bball is gonna make up a big difference of revenue.
We do not know the exact $$ figure yet. We did something similar with Wisconsin. And we are getting something like 1.2 million for the football game next year. Wisconsin comes to Diddle next season as well after we played them in basketball this past season.
Added...WKU gets 1.5 million in the deal for the football game.
No a bad deal then, I'd take it.....
Congratulations on the basketball home and home. Anytime you can get Arkansas on your home court that is big, and I think WKU can win that game.
As for football... Unless you get Arkansas to play in Bowling Green, you just signed a body-bag/money game.

Good for you. But have you noticed they still won't play the other team in state? LOL. They've never played Jonesboro in football and only once in basketball. It was an NIT matchup and they only did it because they expected to mop the floor with us. They edged us in OT. Do me a favor. Beat their ass. And make sure it's not pretty.
