Cant wait to watch this team get swept again, 4 more games left and the season is over
We lose big tonight I’m packing it in... Jersey goes back in the drawer till next season
I'd be for trying a new coach, and I've been willing to give Andy Murray the benefit of the doubt. Fans knew the first few seasons in the NCHC would be rough. But he just hasn't got it done and things haven't changed under him. Losing our leading scorer hurt, no question, but we shouldn't have a 14-1 weekend.

In addition to the mediocrity, a few other moments stand out where we should've got it done:
A.) Beating Air Force last year. We had the talent. The comeback showed that.
B.) Don't hear this get brought up much, but the year after we won the 2012 CCHA Championship, we hosted UofM in the Tournament and got swept. Keep in mind we had had UofM's number and were coming off a Championship team with Slubowski in net a year older and several other veteran players. Disappointing.

I don't see WMU changing anything anytime soon, though.

I'd be shocked if we lost big to CC. They're improved though, so wouldn't be surprised if we lost. We seem to be regressing!
I haven't checked the NCHC standings in a long time. WMU is tied with Colorado College and Omaha at 5th place with 28 points each and equal number of conference games played.

Suddenly our challenge this weekend looks even greater. Puck drop in 5 minutes.

What do we need for a NCAA tourney bid?

At this point that's very unlikely. Outside of winning the NCHC tourney I can't think of any way we'd get invited to the NCAA's. The last few weeks did us under.
I think to get an at large bid, we would have to sweep CC, sweep our NCHC first round and make it to the finals of the NCHC frozen faceoff or like Philly said, win it all and get the auto bid, never thought the second half of the season would be so bad...
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that no one is particularly surprised by last night’s outcome.

It was closer than I expected. Goal tending looked decent for a change. Too bad Cain didn't get a few more stars earlier in the season so he would be more prepared to step in now.
We lost 2-1 in case anyone is interested. WMU dominated SOG with 34 to CC's 23, but also had 5 penalties to their 3.

This loss eliminates any chance we had at ending the season in the top 4 slots, we're on the road for the playoffs.

A 1-14 weekend meant I stopped paying attention from the minimal amount I had been.
Since the disaster weekend in St Cloud in early january we have been on a downward tail spin. I thought the boys did quite well for the next three weekends and should have had a couple more wins but goal tending let us down. Now i think we are beat in our head before we even hit the ice, We are getting chances to score but are gripping the stick to tight and are playing with low confidence therefore it ain't working. This is all really to bad cause after the first St Cloud game we were 7 in pair wise and really rolling now we are waiting for next year. Maybe next year Andy and company will choose our captain and assistant captains according to who the true leaders of the team are instead of just awarding it to guys because they have been there the longest cause boy are we lacking leadership.

And he gives up a goal on the first shot 2 minutes in. Guess he checked out too.
7-2 Broncos in the second period....we wait until the last game of the regular season to start scoring??! If only we would have saved some of these goals last night and we would have home ice next weekend...oh well, woulda coulda shoulda
8-2 now

I guess CC should know how we felt last week getting destroyed
I think CC wanted to play Denver in the playoffs. Close to home and they have played Denver tough.
So we beat CC 8-2 and instead of giving the boys any credit it's now because CC rolled over to play DU?

I doubt that.
