Congrats to both. Really happy for both, of course, but it seemed like Cacok's efforts were unnoticed most of the season. Pumped for him that he achieved this, and I can't wait for what he looks like next year.
Cacok also made the All-Defense Team.

A shorter Shaquille O'Neal but better FT shooter?
The fact he finished 5th in voting is a bit suspect to me. Very sad, but also happy for him. When you look at the other guys, all their teams would be competitive without them, is without Cacock we’d have been lucky to win a conference game IMO
This team is more than one guy but he's done a great job this year. Congrats Devonte! Now go will us to another title!

For sure, but when he wasn’t there we struggled mightily. IMO he’s the most irreplaceable player in the league and THAT should be the league MVP
The term “player of the year” is vague and not very definitive at all. It allows the league to value any metric they want the highest, IMO.

Hopefully Cacok uses it as fuel to tear up the competition.

Thought JWF and Cacok were the best players I saw this year. DC put on as dominating a performance as I saw all year in our game last month up at Trask.
We had absolutely no answer for him and I told my daughter that every offensive trip you had where you didn’t feed him was a gift for us. I can’t even imagine what a beast he would be if he develops a mid-range jumper.
