And that^^ is what I live to hear (and break my vocal chords for).

Cold delivers as expected. He takes his lumps and shows up. Members of the Missing Milk Carton Gang could learn a thing or two. Well one did permanently..

I would advise all Northern Kentucky fans to get their houses in order... just in case... just sayin'. Remove all breakables from the TV room. You'll thank me later.

Yep. Thanks.

I docked him -2 for having no balls. Embarrassing. First negative I've ever given. Knocked the little girlie-man straight down from 800 to 798... 05-mafia

Congrats to the Cats.

I’d rather lose to Cincy than beat Illinois State any day of the week.

+1billion

Losing a game like today against an Illinois State merely deducts from our national reputation. Losing it to a Cincy deducts a tiny bit from our reputation but adds a ton to Cincy's as well as the conference as a whole. The Shocker "power" that has been built up over the last 7 years or so did not fully leave us today, it was merely recycled to a conference member of which we can reclaim if we beat them in the conference tournament - or even next year. Losing was NEVER good in the Valley. Losing can actually be good in the American. This is what it feels like to be a member of a power conference.

With these thoughts circulating in my head as I walked around the concourse, I felt little sadness. The other point that really gave me a sense of peace was knowing that our NCAA seed was already locked up and we were assured of not getting hosed. If we make it to the championship game in the tournament, we should be able to get a #4 which is very, very nice. If we win the conference tournament we could be looking at a #3. This is a life I can grow old living. Waiting for your seed on Selection Sunday as a member of the Valley is hard on the ol' ticker.

I'm really starting to like Mick Cronin. I don't like him because I respect him as a coach, I like him because I respect him as a person. I like hearing him talk in interviews. He comes across like a guy that is just boiling below the surface and could explode at any time and start clocking mofo's. After hearing of his aneurysm scare, I gained new perspective on the dude. I want him to have some success and get over the hump. If today's victory made him happy, I guess I'm happy too.

After reading just a few brief comments from Cincy fans it appears they were extremely invested in this game. Many talked about uncomfortable nervousness. I didn't have this sort of anxiety during the game. I was really entertained by the whole affair. It was an awesome environment and my vocal chords still hurt a lot. They will likely hurt tomorrow too. This is what your average fan brings to Koch Arena. Every game is like our own mini-celebration. So when I get to witness a game like today, I'm not gonna complain.

As far as bragging rights for this message board: I can still spin that we beat Cincy @ Cincy much worse than we lost today so CB's shtick is still operational. 05-stirthepot 02-13-banana Boocat City barely escaped with their hides intact. I'm sure everybody knows we didn't exactly shoot the leather off the ball either. Reeves and Frankamp BOTH went o-fer from three and that hasn't happened all year. Had we shot a little closer to normal maybe we would have smoked ya'll. I'm sure your defense had a little something to do with it as well. 03-yes I'm going to say that on a neutral court we win 6 or 7 out of 10. Fair enough? 07-coffee3

The best part of it all is the fact that we haven't even started the "real" season yet. Wichita State shines during March Madness and I am expecting this year to be no different. When we went to our most recent Final Four, we had gotten swept by Evansville, lost on senior night, and finished behind the Omaha BJ's. I don't believe we were even ranked. And we nearly won the whole doggone thing. So I tip my hat to Cincy and am thankful that we have built the kind of program where we can gain the respect not only of our opponent, but the entire nation EVEN when we lose.

It's always a great day to be a Shocker!

See you suckers in Orlando!

After no showing all day, I expected much much more. I expected a post at the midnight hour that I would read in the morning and swoon, laugh, cry, and in the end say, 'job well done'. You brought none of that. This was like me coming down on Xmas morning and finding no gifts under the tree.

You had been increasing in greatness in my mind as I watched and admired your BS from afar. But you lost a little yesterday Cold. That makes me sad.
Good news...I have no doubt you will earn it back in time.

PS: Your post was so bad, I couldn't let your -2 to Rath stand. I countered with a +3...he is now at 801.

What do you people want from me??!!! I hammer your fanbase to the point that your souls have the consistency of pancake batter and I get called "the worst ever". With the regular season out of the way, I try to be full of sweet and spice and everything nice and I get a #weaksauce... 01-france

P.S. +3ing one of the Cincy Cricketeers is a major violation of the Troll Code. After this display of willful ignorance, I have only one thing to say to you sir:

Lesser teams would have been physical with Jacob when he hurt his hammy or whatever. WSU never bodied him, never tried to make him tap. The only thing they did was speed him up to make him switch to get a better matchup for Landry. That spoke volumes to me about the character of our team.

The way you targeted JE3 and Gary/KW in our switching defense by pinning screens at the top and iso-ing Shamet was brilliant. That's what really got you all back into it and helped you control the offensive side for a 5-7 minute span in the second half when scoring sped up a bit.

totally agree. an observation of mine as well. i wouldn't have thought it classless really if they had. it starts from the top down. marshall's created a top notch culture

I was not there to hear what (if anything) was said, so am in no way confirming the validity of this, but if it is true, I hope it’s dealt with appropriately.

Well, when you dress like a streetwalker...
They probably said something HORRIFIC like, "Hey baby, why don't you come join our party in the locker room!"

I hope they didn't say anything as felonious as, "Damn girl... you look FINE!!!"

Those type of statements should NOT be tolerated and the perpetrator should be jailed instantly without trial...

#Metoo will be the end of males everywhere.

P.S. I suspect the missionary position will be outlawed soon as it's very execution is assaultive in nature.

P.S.S. **** it! Where do I turn in my d!ck. I don't want to wait until it's eventually confiscated. I'd rather have some control in the outcome.

Wonder if she was one of the folks in that arena who groaned for a ref's whistle on nearly every miss. #metoo!
