as of today, Feb 28 by ESPN / Johnathan Givony formerly of Draft Express - most scouts have the top seven as clear Tier 1 elite talents

Gafford has really jumped up and now is at the end of the lottery - I hope Grizz get Porter

Agree with you on Porter. Trae Young is starting to look average. Seems he rode some hot holiday shooting into the lottery but since the conference season started, teams are really playing stout D on him. If his shooting is off now because of college D, how can he survive the intense NBA D with huge guards on him? That said I have no idea what the Grizz would do if Young is still on the board when they make their pick. Glad I'm not the GM on that one. I've also liked Miles Bridges. He seems to have a nose for the ball and a high motor.

Young also isn't playing with the same intensity he was playing with earlier. Very easily could've been told by his people to not get hurt. I'd still take Young if he fell to the Grizz

The way the Sooners season has gone since New Year's, this makes a lot of sense.
Ayton and Doncic are the only tier 1 players imo. Porter has a chance to work himself up

Bagley is starting to remind me of Okafor. NBADraft.net has us taking Wendell Carter.

1. DeAndre Ayton
2. Jaren Jackson Jr
3. Michael Porter
4. Marvin Bagley
5. Luka Doncic
6. Wendell Carter
I like the idea of an unweighted lottery. Tanking sucks. Of course I also think they should start that next year, not this year.
The Griz’s hard work at tanking is paying off. They are winless in February after losing to lottery contender Suns last night. The race to the bottom continues...
I want Bagley!!!!

He would flourish under Marc's tutelage. I still want Porter, Jr though.

Don't want Bagley, and I don't want Trae Young. If we somehow get in the top 2, take Ayton or Doncic and thank God for our luck.

If pick around 4-6, would take Jaren Jackson Jr.

Bagley has scary bad defensive stats. 3% block rate, and 1.6 steal rate. Triple J, by comparison, has a 14.6% block rate. In last 10 games, Duke 2-4 with Bagley and 4-0 without him.

Trae Young wouldn't be a bad pick. I strongly believe that he was told by people in his corner to back it off and not get hurt. He's lottery lock.

This thought has been backed by Oklahoma's play of late. When OU was really good Young was playing all out.

His defense or lack thereof is concerning, but if he can score then his defense can be overlooked.

Bagley has the potential to be good.

If Porter is available for the Grizz they should take him and don't look back.
Re Trae Young, I think the Big 12 has figured him out. 25% from 3 in last 6 games, 5.5 TOs per game. He's been bad. He's more Jimmer that Steph, IMO.

All these Freshmen and Doncic, who just turned 19, at the top of the draft. Makes any pick a gamble.

The top of the draft is mostly freshmen and international players every year

The Rocket's front office was making fun of teams that tanked. Said it wasn't worth it.

I am aware. And more Freshman than int'l, Doncic and Zinger are the exceptions.

Point is that hasn't always been the case. And projecting 18 & 19 year olds makes the top of the draft more risky.
Porter Jr or bust.
Question is will the NBA give the lottery first pick to LA NY Brooklyn or Chicago?

And will we be having this conversation in 4 years?
Grizz officially now #1
