Same old story. The problem is it seems to be getting worse. It is very difficult to fight corruption, politics, money, power and media bias.
Of course its rigged. If a selection committee world rather put "Team A" from the ACC in with say a 17-15 record and say a 14-2 OOC and a 3-13 conference record over a CUSA, MWC, MAC, MVC in "Team B" with a record of 30-4, say a 15-3 OOC record and 15-1 conference record, then yes its rigged and corrupt to no end.

But then again the so called Power conferences have no intention of wanting a level playing field.
I’ll twke it a step further and get you a nickel that both Duke and Chapel Hill will play their first round games in Charlotte, but teams like Villanova and X will end up in Boise. Gonzaga will end up in Nashville playing Tennessee in the 2nd round.
Middle will go to San Diego
Newest team that will make it over a 2nd CUSA team is Notre Dame....They have their star player back, so I am sure they will be excused for the losses they suffered without him....So welcome aboard the latest below .500 Power Conf. record team!

clt says they would let CHeat play at home if possible.

And further, they get higher seeds, even as "bubble teams." Thus, a just-in-by-the-skin-of-their-teeth (and shouldn't be in) Syracuse will get a 9 seed while a 30-4 team from non-power conference gets a 15 seed. This way, when Syracuse beats the 8 seed by 2 points and the NPC team loses to the 2 seed by 2 points, they'll talk about how Syracuse's inclusion was justified because they advanced past the first round and how the NPC is "only 1-4 in the tournament in the last four years." I.E., Syracuse gets to play and beat a team like Arizona State while MTSU will be squaring up with Villanova. They use the early seedings to advance the power schools and justify the BS.

Rinse and repeat.

Agree 100%, but as long as MTdoesn't stumble the rest of the way, they'll probably get the dreaded 8/9 game.

They've built enough of a reputation the last 2 years in the tournament and carry a top.25 ranking. They wont be a 14 or 15 seed. I think worst case they are a 10 if they win out.

I doubt it, MTSU seems to be headed to the 11th seed just due to the fact they beat 0 Power Conference Teams which they will be penalized for by com...
They were slated last week as what, an 11 seed? I would think that they'll creep up to an 8 or 9 if they win out though the tournament. Hopefully they end up as a 7 seed, but I wouldn't count on that at all. FKN committee.

It would be nice if the top 25 were seeded as such. MTSU would (and should) be a #6 seed.
All you have to do to see the system is rigged is think back of how the memphis (the game they thought they played in) vs Kansas was called.
Sports are getting closer each year to the wwe WHOOOOO
I was just using MT as an example. There are plenty of other teams out there that will have the exact same scenario play out for them.

11 is actually the seed you want if don't get up to the 6 seed line. Play 6, then 3-14, then 2-7-10-15, then 1-4-5-8-9-12-13-16

I say 10. None of the 2's are anything special. Kansas is a projected 1-seed and by their standards they're mediocre this year. If not, Duke will be. Ditto... there's not really a world of difference between the 2's and 3's.

Be a 10, beat a 7, 2 (or obviously if you're lucky, a 15), then if you're lucky not a 3 in the Sweet 16. Anything beyond that is gravy.
Alabama possibly getting in is a joke, they could be 17-15 and get in, unreal....I know it will never happen, but any team in NCAA tournament should have a winning record in their conference at the very least...
