That's a loss. He was one of our better recruiters last year.
Sad to see coaches go, but at least you're not a team where nobody wants to take a look at your staff to steal...
Just a suggestion for Sanders replacement. EJ Biggers. Likes the program. Seems to have a connection with Lester. Has the Florida ties for recruiting. Got some NFL juice as well. Think he is currently helping out with his former high school in that regard.
No loss.

He was a small college coach with no real resume. One of band members from Lester's past. Cubitesque.

Quit smiling Tim and hire a real football coach who was in the marching band or judge or lawyer. Get some real perspective! 05-mafia

I don't recall you being the type to provoke personal antagonisms gobaseline. I get that you disagree with my comments, but don't think I have done anything except disagree that Lester has done a good job so far. I haven't liked many the decisions he has made, and said so before the season started. I have also said so when I thought he has done well, and I am rooting like he11 for him to win here, as I think he is a really good guy, and has always represented WMU with great class. But I watched every game, and we had better talent than our opponents in all but only a few. I disagree with strategies in football which are predictable, as they will always provide an enormous advantage to the opponent. And that is just what happened last year. Who would know whether our QBs can pitch, or if our receivers can catch, when we are never putting them in a good position to be successful, because we rarely threw on first down, and regularly left ourselves in third and long; not exactly where you want your young qb's and receivers to be on a frequent basis.

Being a judge, lawyer, plumber, or rodeo clown does not make one incapable or unqualified to make observations about a sport. Contrary to what you might believe, one does not need to be a former college athlete or a former coach to make an assessment; and those who are don't actually speak from a burning bush.
Wellllllllllllllll, one thing is certain. WMU relies on Safeties a great deal for our run stopping. Probably more than we should, but it is what it is right now. We need a rock-solid coach in that sector, can't afford a work in process.

Sanders did a good job last season, we'll need someone at least as good. Not going to be easy to find.
I'm not so sure he did a great job coaching our secondary. We already essentially have his replacement. Again, I do think where we will miss him is in recruiting. He seemed to have his hand in a lot of the 2018 recruits as well as the 2019.

I was just going to say the same thing. Don’t know about his coaching abilities but there’s was nothing I saw to indicate he was getting the most out of that area. No question he could recruit.
