Screw you Bronco fans.
God I hate MAC scheduling. Meanwhile CMU only has 1 non-saturday game from what I can see.

Nobody wants to watch CMU on national television...
I work 2nd shift so for me this schedule really sucks. I would have to take 4 vacation nights to attend 4 WMU games, not to mention not even being able to watch the other 4 weeknight games on TV. Worst schedule I have ever seen in all my years following Bronco football. Even the big home opener is on a Friday night. Wow.......

I'll take hosting a P5 school in week 1 on Friday night EVERY YEAR.

Amen. Plus, it's the Friday of LABOR DAY WEEKEND. Like any of you slackers are working past noon that day anyway...jeez.

It's a work night for me. Will have to take a vacation night to attend.

I honestly can’t follow your rambling. My point is you are missing out on a lot of eyes from football fans who will previously be engaged.

There’s going to be several open seats against Syracuse.

Let's be honest. There is going to be several open seats against Syracuse on a Saturday too.

You have a different definition of the word fan than I. Your definition of “fan” I suppose will find many reasons not to attend.
Concerning the Syracuse game on a Friday. If the attendance result is “several” open seats as you suggest, that would be a win. Several thousand, not so much

NFL is supposed to be played on Sunday, College is supposed to be played on Saturday. I will attend a couple mid-week games (especially the Friday opener), but you don't get nearly the same game-day experience as a Saturday noon or 3:30 kick-off and you will NEVER grow your local fan-base playing these types of schedules.

I was being kind with several....several thousands was my intention.

Just so I’m following your logic. If a family goes to a HS game to watch their son play rather than go to the WMU game they are 1) not a true fan, 2) you’re glad those 2-6 fans aren’t going to games 3) those same 2-6 fans aren’t welcome at future games.

This isn’t an excuse this is reality. A pair of Bronco alums are going to watch their kid play and bring the siblings rather than go to Waldo and watch Syracuse.
Labor Day weekend a lot of HS games are played on Thursdays.

So while I firmly believe CFB should be played Saturday afternoons I can see playing Friday night that weekend before everybody heads up north.
That’s almost exclusively a Michigan thing.
WMU's home football games are almost also exclusively a Michigan thing so...
Syracuse ain't coming with just 15 fans folks. They travel well
