My sincerest regrets; however, this thread is not about the Paleozoic era of wkcc basketball. You might have been looking for MeTV or Encore Classic Channels.

Well, in fairness those are the channels most conference games are shown on when they're on TV
Congratulation MT! Middle deserves to be ranked. I'm very happy for them. For a few years now they have been getting it done on the court and pulling upsets in the Toury. I'm glad the polls are starting to recognize what's happening over in Murfreesboro.

I think ODU also has a good case for being ranked. Now that neither remains on UNT's schedule, I hope they win out. It would be great for C-USA if both could finish the regular season ranked.

It has been fun watching C-USA basketball this season.
ODU hasn't won a big game yet, too late to get ranked this season

Check your facts Jack, WKU has been ranked in the Top 25 10 times since 2000.

Probably the same for UAB. We were ranked a good bit in the 80 under Gene Bartow and some under Bartow in the 90s. Reached the top 25 2 or 3 times under Mike Anderson in the mid 2000s and were ranked under Mike Davis in 2010. Haase got us in the receiving votes category towards the end of the 2015-2016 season.

Who's Jack?

BTW, so that means that the other 102 times came before 2000. See, I smart.

MT should have been ranked 10 times - at least - over the past three years. I guess it's our name.
On the road, North Texas is up by 1 against FIU at the half. Go Mean Green!
It was much easier to get ranked years ago when you weren't in a P5 league all you had to be was good. Now you have to deal with the extreme bias of ESPN, media. etc..
hoping we can move up to 23rd this week, but pollsters anxious to get the Cayats back in the Top 25.

Wouldn't be surprised if we dropped to 25th.
Won't be surprised if we aren't in the top 25 at all. Kentucky, FSU, Creighton and Miami will probably push us out.

The Criminoles got beat by 20 today at NC State.

Ah, I missed that one.
MT remains 24th in the AP but got jumped by Kentucky. Color me shocked.
MT remains at #24 in the AP. Kentucky leapfrogs us, as expected.

MT did gain about 60 votes, however.
Up one to #23 in the coaches poll.

A win over WKU this week may vault us into the top 20, which would be incredible.

I am torn though; if WKU wins that will make then a top 50 RPI team, which would give us a win over a top 50 RPI team while still maintaining a top 50 RPI ourselves.

I wonder if a loss to WKU would make both teams at large contenders?

Yes. Tell the team it's for their own good.

Great plan. Love it.
