But the 5 seed really does not mean much because its still 4 games in 4 days and I am not sure any of these teams will be able to do it.

UT San Antonio 8-6 (Tech at home, UNT on the road)

UAB 8-7 At MTSU, Marshall & WKU (Toughest remaining by far)

North Texas 7-7 UTSA at home, both F*U on the road.

Louisiana Tech 7-8 . at UTSA, 2 easy ones at home.
--------------
USM 6-9 (highly Unlikely to jump ahead of us)
-------------

Id be thrilled to finish the regular season at 10-8.

What 5th place or tied for 5th does is allows the coaches record to look better than 6th,7th or 8th.
The five seed often has an advantage on the second day over the 4 seed because they have played a game against a vastly inferior opponent and have gotten the tournament jitters out of the way. They usually hit the road block against the one seed though.

Marshall made the championship game last year as the 6 seed
From here, 10-8 would be good, though I'm still hopeful for 11-7. Getting an extra game against an inferior opponent in that wonky CUSA Tournament arena might be a good thing.
Whoa. I didn't realize MT went into Ruston and thumped Tech tonight.
If we end up in a tie with UNT and/or UTSA they both get the higher seed because they beat us.

If we end up with a tie with Tech, I think they take the tie breaker because they beat UNT.

So that and the toughest schedule does not put us in a great spot.

But the other 3 teams play all play one of the other close teams. We play 3 of the top 4.

I expected our seed to come down to the wire but I thought we would be fighting for a top 4 seed, and it appears we are fighting for 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th.

I think we made it to the championship game Andersons first year but I don't recall what seed we were or if we got a bye.
4 games in 4 Days with the finals in Louisville vs Louisville(played 2 games)
We gave them a great game but couldn’t get that done.
Believe it or not, the four spot is not out of play yet. UAB is three games out of 4th. Marshall plays Old dominion and Western Kentucky this week. If they lose both of those games, then that spot is in play.
