The ladies head to the Blue Chicken house for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off. We have a tough road between now and the end of the season with two games against Delaware and one at Drexel. Winning tonight will be big. With Delaware having a new coach, it's hard to predict what their team will do. They are 8-4 in the CAA with losses to Drexel, Elon and Northeastern twice.

Statistically the two teams are almost identical. Delaware has two starters who average double figures while the Dukes have three.

Live feed starts at 6:45 p.m. I'll be watching!

Very possible this very young team can win out.

Thanks for getting the thread going, just logged on to start it!!!!

Interesting that the schedule has the Dukes and the Chickens playing for the first time so late in the season with the second game next weekend on Sunday. Teams are fairly evenly matched but Delaware seems a bit more up and down conference play wise.

Should be a good game tonight. Will be watching via CAATV/Roku tonight. Really need to make a trip up to Newark one of these days.

Go Dukes!!

Brian, I know you're a drivin fool, but I highly recommend Amtrak to Newark if you're going to a game there. Station is right next to campus.
Hyper

Thanks for the suggestion. Only problem with that is getting into DC for the train which I hate to do. By the time I got to the station, parked and whatever I could be 2/3's the way to Newark!!!

Hate driving in DC. Could take the Metro but that would take over an hour also.

Yeah and I am a drivin fool. Years ago when I was working a real job I used to commute 1 1/2 to 3 hours each way to work depending on which location I was going to. Used to roll up over 100K miles every year. Can not do that any more!!!!!

Brian
Makes sense. I've been lucky to be near the train in Fredericksburg & now Richmond, so very convenient for me. Keep on truckin!

I feel like you rack up 100K miles rooting for the Dukes!
Deez

Not quite but close!!

Brian
I'm gonna do a mileage tracker for a whole season to see how much I really travel for football. Would be a cool exercise. Of course, should have done it this past season with multiple flights to away games!
I'm thinking of starting to negotiate with Brian to be a courier of sorts. I mean, when he's traveling all over the east coast following the Dukes, he can pick up and drop off some stuff for me and maybe others.

For example, I have this friend - yeah, that's it, I'll call him a "friend" - who has about 700 mason jars, some copper wiring, 400 bushels of corn and a half ton of sugar I need picked up and dropped off at my double wide. I think Brian could do that for me.

At the of Q1 Dukes are up 12-11. Delaware scored the first 7, then JMU scored the next 10 and then a bit of trading points. Video feed has ranged from good to awful so I keep having to reboot.
I had forgotten how awful these announcers are. Granted they are also doing the radio broadcast, but he is beyond annoying.
We cannot buy an offensive rebound....
"JMU traded Virginia Tech Kenny Brooks for Kelly Koshuta". Actually pretty funny.
Game is not on CAATV for some reason. Bummer. Have to watch it on the wifes IPad.

Delaware feed requires Flash which is not on any of my computers and I am not sure I want to install it.

Oh well the IPAd it is.

Well I decided to install Flash so I can finally get the stream. Dukes up by 2 at the half, 22-20.

Brian
Dukes up 22-20 at the half. Kamiah scored her first points as the half ended. Lexie has 8, Kelly has 6, several folks have 2. Both teams playing very good defense.

I think Coach O is preaching rebounding, especially on the offensive side of the court.
6:19 to go third quarter, media timeout. Dukes up by 5 31-26.

Kayla picked up her 3rd foul a bit ago and is out of the game. Devon has 2 fouls rest of team OK.

DeFreese for UD also has three fouls and it is causing her to play somewhat reserved to avoid picking up the 4th one.

Dukes have had a couple nice feeds to Kelly and Devon for easy baskets this quarter.

Just under 5 minute media timeout. Enabosi hits a basket and gets fouled. Dukes up 34-31 with UD going to the line.

Brian
Dukes up 45-39 at the end of the 3rd quarter after a beautiful alley oop pass from Logan to Smalls!!

Dukes scored 23 points in the 3rd quarter compared to 22 for the 1st half!!

Brian
End of third quarter sees Dukes up 45-39. Dukes came out with more intensity this quarter. Kelly and Lexie are in double figures. Several great lob passes for easy baskets for JMU. Tasia and Kayla have three fouls so I would think Coach O will be alternating them for this final quarter.
