At 6'2", 6'2", and 6'3" the Owls do have one of the taller front courts in Con USA. Oddly enough, half of the 6'3" Cedeno's shots are around the three point line. She leads the team in total three point attempts. So she will stretch defenses. As a team, they like to shot the three. About a 1/3 of the team's overall shots are behind the arc. But the team's big three are good rebounders and cause trouble for undersized line-ups.

ODU is coming it's first road win of the season where Kelly Loftus scored an ODU high of 24 points. I have been waiting for her to break out. At Hofstra she scored 842 point before she transferred. For this season she has scored 126 points. For her career, she is 32 points shy of 1,000. ODU won't recognize it since it's not all "ODU" points. She is coming up on a personal milestone though.

This would be a good game for ODU to win and advance in the standings. Enjoy a nice game at the Ted for Valentine's Day. The good news, you won't find increased prices for food. A hot dog on Valentine's Day will cost the same as any other day at the Ted. How romantic. :-)
If you wonder where jess Munoz went looks like she followed barefoot just like Gigi

Wonder who'd win an ODU-UNCW game if they played tomorrow? UNCW beat VCU, which beat ODU, but the (Lady) Monarchs are a better team than they were even last month, and the Seahawks (Shehawks?) have lost 12 of their last 13.

Two of her wins are against D2 teams 07-coffee3
ODU wins 59-54 after being down big earlier in the game. Chipped away and finally took the lead late. Nikki outcoached the hell out of FAU’s coach. This is going to be a fun ride folks.
Great win and a fun game to watch. Couldn't be more proud of the ladies tonight. They got down big early but never stopped fighting. Nicki is an amazing coach and doesn't miss anything. So incredibly thankful we were able to land her.
I didn't see the first half, but really enjoyed watching the Ladies come from 16 down to win this one. Great game, Ladies!
Great game, ladies. Enjoyed watching the hustle that brought ODU back from the 16 point deficit. Thanks to Coach Nikki, things are looking up. I've got to head down to Norfolk this Saturday to see the next game.
Another great effort that lead to a well deserved victory. Coach Nikki gets the very best out of her players, and they never quit. Down by 16 in the first half, they could have rolled over, but they kept fighting, and Fighting, and FIGHTING.

They are very well coached. I love the jump-trap and the full court press. I can only imagine, and can't wait to see Coach Nikki with a 16 player roster. You can see what she wants to do defensively, just doesn't have to depth to execute as she would like.

Congratulations Ladies. I'm am so happy for you guys and appreciate how hard you play 01-ncaabbs And even though the TED wasn't packed, the fans that were there, well, we had the place rocking especially during the second half. COGS
Even know she doesn't play much does anyone know what's wrong with Walk-on Lovie Harden? She didn't warm up

I know Bernadeco is still dealing with foot but it would be nice if 10 players could play
Nikki mccray is definitely a yeller

She had a concussion in practice before they left for the last road trip. I'm assuming she still hasn't passed the protocol. Last year, Nik Biberaj, for the Men, had bad concussion during a game and was out for 2 weeks. He couldn't even sit on the bench, because he couldn't deal with the lights and sound.

She doesn't accept anything mediocre out of anybody at any time. The results of which could be seen tonight. Most of the first half, the Ladies could barely buy a bucket or a rebound, but they kept fighting with all 8 of their available players (starter Ashley Jackson in foul trouble from the first 2 minutes) and brought the game back from 16 down. No way that would have happened last year, even with Jennie Simms.
What a Valentine's day gift for those that watched the game! But it really was a difference in two halves. That first half I'm not sure if they were battling the FAU defense or the shot clock. The team looked scared to challenge inside or take a shot at times. As a result, almost every time they had the ball the clock was winding down. Then they made two threes at the very end of the half and seemed to get their confidence back into the game. To come back from 16 down is amazing. Most refs will tell you that once a team is down by 20, it's usually game over. 16 isn't 20...but it's a pretty big hole to come back form. I can't talk enough about Taylor Edwards game. 8 points, 12 boards, 8 steals, five steals. It wasn't a great day shooting wise for her, but she was everywhere on the court. Just an outstanding effort with lots of hustle. Don't get me wrong. ODU going 8-for-12 from beyond the arc in the last three quarters was important and Timmon's 22 was needed. But you need some body to give the team a bolt of energy and that is what Taylor brought to the table. (Plus ODU's sixth man...the crowd....definitely rose to the occasion)

In KB's first year in Con USA the team went 9-7. (2013-14) This year we are 5-7. We have 4 more games left. It would be amazing if Nikki could match KB's record. (remember KB had Shae Kelley, really good player) One thing both coaches have, assistant coach Richard Fortune. (just...interesting side note)
