This should be a good week for WAC basketball

NMSU vs CSUB. Well Durham is back and the Runners are looking for revenge. Not very likely to happen though. The PAC is a tough place to play in. Still should be a good game and could possibly have an upset. The upset is more likely to come in the form of GCU on Saturday.

SU vs UMKC. Should be an easy game for the Red Hawks after taking out UVU in a very close match up.

UVU vs CSU. Maybe CSU might do what they did last year and hand UVU another conference loss. Highly doubt it though.

GCU vs UTRGV. Should be a high scoring game. Would not be too surprised if UTRGV pulled off the close upset at home.
Las Cruces should be rocking Saturday night. I’m happy to see the GCU NMSU rivalry drawing big crowds on both campuses. So good for both schools. Hopefully GCU brings their A game. I’d like us to have a strong showing. Not sure there is a way to really control Lofton. Lopes were effective in shutting down Simms against CSU, but the Cougars don’t really have another player who can step up and take over when Fred is having an off night. NMSU just has so many weapons. For GCU to win, everything will have to go right, and Lofton will have to go cold. Not likely on either account. We’ll see.

I'm assuming this post is related to the Saturday NMSU-GCU game and not tonight's NMSU-Bako game.

Yep. My bad. Had the game dates swapped in my mind. Edinburg tonight, PanAmerican Saturday. I edited above.
Going to UVU/CSU. Cougars did beat the Wolverines in Orem last year but the return game in Chicago wasn’t competitive. Hopefully, Cougars return to how they played against NMSU (1st half), @Seattle, RGV, etc.

CSU has my support. They need to play well in both halves and not just the first.

Its Pack the Pan Am Promotion for the GCU game. Originally it was scheduled for the UVU game earlier this season.
Oh crap, I just found out the UVU/CSU game switched to 5pm.
Apparently CSU did too.

57-28 UVU, 18 mins left
Oh wow... Wolverines are gonna hang a hundred points on the Cougars... CSU just broke 50...
Looks like the havocs didn't feel like making the trip to edinburg.
CSU WOMEN'S TEAM ENDS THEIR 60+ GAME LOSING STREAK TO BEAT UVU 84-74. Congrats to them.
What happened to the UTRGV GCU feed!?! It just stopped about 9 minutes into the game. Wouldn’t start back. Anyone else having problems?
Yup me too. It's the Russians causing shenanigans again.
This is embarrassing
Games back up now. They had internet outage. I see that the Looes were looking past this one and game preparing for the Aggies. UTRGV is too good for that, especially at home. Lopes aren’t good enough to look past anyone right now.

What’s up with Seattle tonight?!?
Seattle U proved when they can't shoot, they REALLY can't beat anyone. No defense. Terrible shooting. Gave up 30/35 from the FT line. SU did everything to lose tonight

Seattle is the farthest place in Continental usa from KC. Thats why I thought it was no gimme.
Ugh. Congrats to UTRGV on a well played game. Vaqueros had a lot of heart tonight. This win puts us back in third place again. At this point the tournament is going to be anyone’s guess so long as they’re not in NMSU’s path early in.
Got to the Jones Convocation Center and Cougs were down 20 in 1st half. Fred Sims hit some nice shots in the 2nd. Dildy is always so classy and appreciative - lose by 40 and the team still goes center court to thank the fans. Better crowd than anticipated with the time change, a good move with snowfall beginning after the game.

UVU had one of the bigger teams I’ve seen. Their coach was very relaxed and quiet (probably because of the score). Heard a UVU player tell someone their flight isn’t until tomorrow so hopefully they get to KC by Saturday with the snowstorm tomorrow.
