A lot of rumors are flying around that UCONN is looking to move out of the AAC and into a more ideal conference (Big East). Which would leave out the football program. Indy seems like that would be the logical landing spot. It would obviously be good for Liberty but how likely do you think it would be that Liberty vs UCONN became regular assuming that were to happen.

I'd be very surprised if UConn went independent. It would basically be them throwing in the towel at a P5 opportunity. I'd be fine with scheduling them since they are sort of a "name" and shouldn't dominate us in football.

Well I think of UCONN being an INDY similar to BYU.

BYU has a much more national fan base than UConn, and has a much greater football history and appeal. I think UConn could pull it off, especially if they put aside their disdain of UMass and schedule them annually along with us and the other independents.
These rumors have drifted around for the last couple of years. Now that the Big XII is clearly not a possibility, they seem to be picking up some steam.
UCONN keeps dreaming for an ACC invite but that boat sailed. If ND ever joins, it will be another Football first then basketball school to join. From the G5, Houston, SMU and Cinci makes the more sense.
